I have returned after years away and this is what I find.
The state of the game has rendered my account useless, caldari ships are crap and my carrier needs 9870239874723 jumps to go anywhere.

Maybe you shouldn't have left..

Key to life is learning to adapt, it is what makes us different to the animals.

And just so you know, Caldari ships can, and are bloody powerful, just try and beat a Rook in a 1v1, doesn't end well if you are in a Cruiser, or hell, even a Battlecruiser, I have seen them solo small gangs, and nothing does missions better then a Raven, and they have the most powerful EWAR (Depends on who you speak too). As well as some of the best tanks in the game!

for the solo pilot the carrier projection nerf sucks, if you are in a carrier blob it just slows you down a bit.

as far as caldari ships go, I dunno they seem mostly alright to me.

With the exception of the Eagle, Ferox, Drake, Nighthawk, and Vulture all the other Caldari ships are good.

Caldari lineup, frigates are ok, dessies suck, t3d sucks, dictor is ok, caracal is ok rest suck, recons suck, no idea about hictor, logi sucks, cerb is good, eagle sucks, tengu is amazing, orthrus is the most broken and op ship in game (its basicely caldari), t1 bcs suck, nh sucks, vulture is good, bs suck. Impressive uninformed like always Wolf

The recons are very good at their intended roles (jamming), bassis are decently sturdy if flown right, eagle seems to be very commonly used in null by those who find a use for long range firepower, Rail-feroxes are comparable to the other battlecrusiers, raven fleets do work (if not flown as brawlers), phoenix is argubly the best blapdread, the wyvern/leviathan among the sturdiest supers available

Also, since you don't know about HIC's, the Onyx is the best for grabbing initial tackle (beating the broadsowrd for that particular task), and can be refit to be decently tanky when things hit the fan

The Vulture, good? How is the Vulture good and not the Eagle? And how does it compare to the Rail Astarte?

The Nighthawk is meh as a Command Ship and the Drake is still paying for its sins, but the Caldari lineup is in the best position now that it has been in my time in game.

Maybe he said dessies sucks because he made an average to the corm who has it's use and how bad the corax is at trying to be a talwar...

I havnt talked about the supers or caps so vOv, rail ferox' may be compareable to other bcs but as those suck too its still bad. A falcon/rook may be good at jamming buts its still a **** ship compared to the other recons. Eagle isnt on ishtar levels so its bad while the cerb has some uses. And the bs suck, the end (bar golem).


And basi is all around bad, its not good for solo logi, its not good for logi spam. It may be ok as midsized shield logi but compared to the scimi is a bad ship.

Caladari is my favorite race but on paper their lineup is fairly bad if compared to amarr or gallente.



Im also counting the gurrista line as gal, but if they were cal there would be amazing all around.

Rail ferox is cheap, can fit mjd and has highest lock range on t1 BC, plus a decent tank bonus for that role. Its not that its bad, but other ships can perform that same role with more flexibility (ishtar). Ships being OP or overbuffed does not equal the other ships being bad. Just need the dust to settle and see if ishtars can be knocked off their throne.

I solo pvp with bc's frequently, they can be strong if you know how to fit them, plus taking advantage of MJD. Drake is potent when you dont brick tank it to hell like everyone keeps trying to do since 2012. 600+ dps that applies to pre-nerf 10mn t3d makes for amusing km. Or killing an entire frig gang with a drake. Or killing a gangs scram tackle and mjd'n away. I could go on :). Ive killed plenty of people like you, you underestimate them because they cant go 3k m/s, have 100k EHP and do 700dps. They do need some range to be anti-cruiser (see sig), but can still be made to kill ****.

Falcons/rook jam.. what else do they do? There are niche combat rook fits that work well. Rook can get 400dps fairly easily. A 720 huginn with 2 gyros and some drones is around 350-400. So its comparable to other recons. It jams instead of webs. Seems to do what it says on the box. Not sure how thats bad?

Eagle is kind of ****.. vulture/tengu do the same role better.. i guess if you are poor and need cheap fleet comp.
