I've still got my copy in its box from when I received it earlier this year. I want to open it to look at but at the same time I want to keep it as it is, untouched and unopened.
As this was a limited edition book, I'm wondering if these were numbered at all? As I said it's still "factory sealed" so I've no idea if it is at all numbered or not! I don't want to open it as it could(?) lose value if I want to sell it. I'd surely get a better price if it's in pristine condition, wouldn't I?
Am I one sad person for doing this or just a bit paranoid? lol

As i have one myself i can say it is numbered.
The number is situated inside on the plate inside with jita 4-4 on it and the number for the ingame items.

and you are playing eve. paranoid is a good thing there.

This is where I put my signature, right?

You never opened your book?! Your book might be one of the books that had the printing defect. I had to get mine replaced. But very happy with the edition. You shouldn't be looking to sell yours anyway so worrying about the worth and keeping it unopened is a bit foolish.

Did you buy it to enjoy it or to resell it?

I agree with BONEZAY , you may have received a copy with defects in the album's prints just like I did. Some defects are minor whereas others ( like the water spot looking ones) are hard to ignore.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE BOOK and was really upset at the defects however I only had to wait a month longer for Dark Horse to send me a FLAWLESS replacement Album. So at this minor inconvenience, i've got one PRISTINE Album/book to stay as a collectors piece and one defected copy that can be and has been read by everyone who visits Lol I dont have to force them to wear the White Cotton handling gloves lol

So before its too late to act , I would HIGHLY recommend to act now. If yours has defects, the replacement window may expire at some point in the future. If your worried about decreasing its value , think of this : what if you sell it and your purchaser opens it n see's its not in pristine condition ?

And Pondhopper if you do open it and there are defects. Simply logon to the art of new eden site and fill out yorur support ticker there. And make sure you keep it brief and don't copy and paste as it gives off an error. Happened to me but if it'sfiled succesfully it wil show up in the menu. Fingers crossed that you won't need to do this but do open it asap.
