Module Tiercide Name Tweak

My idea is simple: Move the variant-identifying portion of a meta module to the front of the name, rather than at the end for improved searching, sorting, and recognizability.

For example:


50MN Quad LiF Restrained Microwarpdrive

becomes

50MN Restrained Quad LiF Microwarpdrive


and


100MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner

becomes

100MN Enduring Monopropellant Afterburner


The result is a naming convention that keeps the extra bits like "Y-T8" or "Cold-Gas" for lore/universe building/whatever reason CCP included them for in the first place, while making it that much easier identifying the item you're looking for, and searching on the market becomes a cinch.

OCD's nit-pick, but I'm inclined to kind of agree (I'm OCD as well, go figure). It a bit of extra work, but a pretty good way to organize the names a little more consistently. Regrettably, it shouldn't be a high priority, but something to think about if possible.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

They tried it. It was hated because it lost some of the flavor of the Eve universe, so they went to the current naming scheme.

Now that we have 5** ID for MWDs, it's not really needed for practical purposes, so I don't mind them keeping fluffy names. When I came to EVE I liked those and I like that nowdays it's not prototype/limited everything.

I'd actually suggest the meta names get moved to the VERY front , then next the meta type so you get

Quad LiF Restrained 50MN Microwarpdrive
then you can easily search for 50MN microwarpdrive and get all variations, or search for restrained 50 MN microwarpdrive.


Of course, what would be best is if search did better with fragments, so if I searched for 50MN restrained, I get the Quad LiFs pop up regardless of how the entire module name is ordered.
