We can set audio alert for armor point, capacity, and cargo hold, but i cant see an audio alert option for ore hold. Did they miss it? or did I miss it??

It may have been an intentional thing. You know, so you have to listen to the audio alert from your mining lasers going cold because there isn't space.

Talking more,

Flying crazier,

And drinking more

Making battleships worth the warp

Neither. They want you to be paying attention, so that you are not leaking the ore that you mine into space.

Paying attention is hard, code me something so I can know when to look away from my Netflix and cat videos.

Your idea is unsupported.

If their intention is to want me to pay attention, then there are no needs for all alerts. Maybe you should also remember how many bullets left yourself if you pay enough attention -_-

The alerts are meant be assisting player by telling them what players need to pay attention right at the moment.

You have a fixed cycle time, a fixed yield, and a fixed ore hold.

(Ore hold size / yield) x cycle time = how long you set a timer for to know when to empty hold

Use the above formula and your idea is 100% unnecessary.

yes, yes, i know that formulae.

Just hard to believe you guys just want to do it manually when there is an easy way to prompt you. Whatever.

This isn't a bad suggestion from a 'wish list' point of view. Why not have an audio alert? It wouldn't hurt anything. Make it customizable so people who don't like it don't have to have it turned on. It's very low priority from a development standpoint however, particularly since you'll get an audio alert when your lasers cut out anyway :o)

To all the haters in the thread, AFK mining is AFK mining. Many folks enjoy doing it while they study read etc... It's very low profit low risk. Its time they spend in game logged in where you can shoot them when otherwise they'd be forced to focus on their out of game activity.

Regardless of the reasons people AFK mine, if you want to not pay attention to the game your playing then you need to take your own measures to enable that. CCP should not encourage you to not play the game.

Howabout instead a visual indicator: when your ore hold is full, your ship makes a noticeable flash that everyone can see.

FT Diomedes: "Reaver, sometimes I wonder what you are thinking when you sit down to post."

Expecting CCP to make your afk playing even easier is a bit much. Evil

No thanks.

Whilst we're here, can we get rid of the audio notification that a rock has depleted.

While I don't support this idea of an Audio alert for ore hold being full as it's really isn't a QoL improvement, your retort is kind of shortsighted. Why is there a shield/armor or any audio alert? Aren't you paying attention?

As for why it's not a QoL improvement, ore that is not moved into your ore/cargo hold just stays in the asteroid. So really an audio alert for your ore hold changes nothing.

When you PvP against things other than stationary structures in highsec, there's a lot of information to process. Having an alert for shields and armor allow you to pay attention to the many other things you need to pay attention to when your target actually has the ability to kill you.

I'm actually against this. Not because I want to promote lazy or massive multiboxing or 'notplayingevewhileplayingeve', but because it's not uncommon at all for newbro's to sit their frigate in a belt and mine, then switch over to a wiki screen and read. Make it a bonus specific only to the venture or frigates if you want, but in the interest of new bros trying to make isk and learn/read for themselves, this isn't a good change.

So you can AFK better?
Maybe CCP should make small blasters louder so you **** bricks harder when code ganks you.

Just make all mining barges, exhumers, and ORE frigates play the "Fatality" sound bite from Mortal Kombat when it explodes, and play it at 200% volume. Twisted
