So my bud on a trial account pulled this off after about 10 days of playing.

Video of the deed

Sceen cap of the top speed

He wants to know if this is fast for sub-warp. XD

Warping to the sun at zero and bouncing out often produces those results. We call it "physics".

I blame the Legacy Code!

And it would be more impressive if your buddy could maintain that speed indefinitely!

Check Youtube.
A Dramiel can do 22 kilometers per second.
(It needed remote cap transfer to recharge it after activating the MWD so it could do a second cycle though)

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Only the center core of a star has collision, which is absurdly small.

Warping to zero on a star puts you about ~500,000 km away from it's surface. And even then you must see and math the diameter of the star using check info to get to where the core's collision is, which was about another 800,000 km.

It took him about a week of straight flying at 2.5 km/s to get there. It's not the results that are impressive, it's what he had to do to make it happen.

22,000 m/s is pathetic compared to this speed.

Good effort and a lot of dedication, but I wouldn't call this "breaking the game" which seems to be what he focuses on.

Nothing new here at all.

So, he didn't break anything.

Ok, thanks for sharing.

Edit:

Oh, and the guy who did it in 2012, did it in 10 hours. Granted he had help from a corpmate, but he certainly beat your friend to the punch.

I've warped a dreadnought to the center of the sun and hit siege. It was a bit faster and sustained longer. Not really game breaking.

We had a cyno get blapped mid jump once, and I ended up in the sun and bouncing insanely fast....

This is so like 2010 or older. Its not game breaking and not all that and a bucket of KFC chicken like hes going off on like a douchenozzle on the youtube link. Hell Ive done it myself so trust me its not an accomplishment if Ive managed to do it in a fleet op without trying.

Oh yeah I BREAK ****!!! Roll

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I had a few bounce bookmarks for various celestial bodies, (mostly moons and maybe planets) not sure I ever did one for a star. but last time I tried to use one it didn't seem to work, not sure if they got rid of it on moons or I just need to readjust a bit?

On my main when I'm using a MJD on my Gollem or Paladin I sometimes f*** around with the MJD for fun and end up bouncing off planets, objects, stations, etc. The results are hilarious if they get flung a huge distance into random space.

Hearing him repeat everything repeatedly makes Svenja want to yell at computer screen. Man needs to chill the **** down.
