Would a jackdaw be a suitable ship to run high/low sec anoms and sigs? If so how would you fit the thing

Currently not, but wait for the new missile mods... Rockets are going to hit ot to 30-40ish with 380dps fully selectable, by then it will be decent. Currently though, no.

Yeah I find it a little underwhelming for that at this point. I can do it much faster in an AF. Once the new mods come, likely that'll be a game changer. Simply due to the fact that jackdaw has an extra mid-slot to fit one, while AF is already more of a tight fit. Maybe even then, light missiles will become an option with the changes, donno, depends on the fitting and drawbacks.

Passive tanked LML Jackdaw can do about 260 DPS as is, out to 31 KM's or 51 KM's in Sharpshooter. Even with the new mid slots coming, rockets will struggle to make 25 KM's without being in Sharpshooter mode and the DPS isn't that much better. The number of 380 quoted earlier isn't entirely accurate. You would have to fit two BCS and a Tech II RoF rig to get even close to that, but you still fall short.

Moreover, if you're doing HiSec combat anomalies in a Jackdaw, most frigates will pop with one volley from the LML's anway.

Running exploration in highsec more or less translates to clearing 3/10s and 4/10s since the 2/10s are not quite worth it.

For 4/10s, you got to chew through some ehp to get to the faction spawn. At 250dps, this is mindnumbing. 380dps with rage is two 1% damage implants, proper skills, 2 BCS and a RoF rig. There is really nothing else you want, ever.

If I'm doing some exploration for whatever reason, I'm using a 280mm svipul with roughly 390dps. Running things like the Phi-Outpost (serp 4/10) it takes me a couple minutes to clear the first room, and then about 2 more killing the faction dooder in the second room while ignoring the rest. I'm assuming the jackdaw supposedly does the same, but killing the faction dooder with 250dps light missiles will make you want to SD your ship right there.

I used to do some high sec combat sites with a LM Hawk with probe launcher. Other players won't even attempt to compete with you tbh.

The only way I can get the magical dps figure you're claiming is with shiney BCS or over heat. Either way, your range and damage application is poor. You'll find yourself spending a lot of time getting in range of your targets or seriously sacrificing tank and DPS to stretch your range. It's going to be a case of constantly switching modes to catch or apply damage to targets.

I don't for a moment think this is the best Tactical Destroyer for the job, but if I had to use a Jackdaw, I wouldn't want to be chasing my targets when my ship is so bog slow.

they can't give caldari ships actual ability to pvp becuase then they would be OP like drake and tengu fleets of yore. They are always pre-nerfed from now on. CCPrenerf should be the designation of the jackdaw's creator.

I am using a Confessor for combat signatures, and I am loving it... Except it is impossible to do ded 4/10 bloodraider site in it when using pulse lasers.
