I love reading reviews of what people think of games, EVE online gets some major bashing... Roll .I understand that we all have different mind sets, opinions. But clearly this person is rather special Shocked ,but many people actually think like this. I have copy pasted just one review. But its rather interesting.

Anyways... P

I'm rather glad that my thought process isn't so negative. Well the concept of "Pay2win" label hardly ever springs to mind... i just don't get why so many think games that clearly don't deserve such labels, get bashed so hard. Along with other such labels people will tarnish a game with.

................

So you can skip the long wall of text this person has decided to bash EVE with ( But read if you wish.. hehe ). Since my topic is about, these questions:

1. Do you pay much attention to "Not Recommended reviews" , that EVE online has gotten ?.
2. Have you ever had to explain to others wanting to get EVE online that its not "Pay2win" & other such labels... Feed me your information Blink

Extra questionsP

3. What influenced you into getting EVE online (or other games that get a regular bashing with bad reviews).
4. Do / did any "Not Recommended reviews" put you off getting EVE online (or other games you thought you might like)

EVE ONLINE is basically a PAY TO WIN GAME. And that in the best analysys.

The "inovative" system of making XP is made "by time". In other words, you have to wait days, weeks, months, in order to "upgrade" your skills. In other words, you'll never get near those guys who are playing there for years.

Not to mention that currently, if you do not spent real money buying ships, you'll be doing nothing more than being a target.

This is because the game is balanced aiming the game owners own pockets. And why? It's pretty simple:

a) you need resources to build a decent ship;
b) normally you do that by mining and or "hunting" pve enemies;
c) all the good (specially ice ore) mining locations are camped by suicide gankers, who will kill your expensive mining ship with a near descardable attacking one; the same happens with missions or "ratting" (killing pve ships);

So, what really happens is that by the present rules, all major old players rules the game. If you are new, you're pretty done for.

But even old players, have to continuosly put real money in game in order to keep playing.

The game is also dying every day. No matter the hours, you'll find no more than 30k players online, which brings some doubts about the claiming of CCP that the number of users are growing. Beyond that at least 60% of the "users" are ALTS (extr accounts used by the same player), since its almost impossible to play with only one account.

And that brings ANOTHER problem. People who use "multibox" software to allow the use of 10-12 ALTS at the same time by one player. So its pretty common to find swarms of 30 ships attacking you, made up by only 3 real players.

But obviously CCP doesnt do nothing, since it means 30 accounts paid by rich people every month.

Think in any other MMO game were you could use an "extra char" to help you (WOW, etc). Would that be fair? At Eve it isnt also.

AND, MOREOVER, THE FACT IS: the simple possibility of buying SHIPS with real money is a scandal per se. CCP would say "...hey, we dont use 'real money'...". Surelly they do allow. It's simple this way:

a) You BUY "timecode" for REAL MONEY from CCP;
b) Such "timecode" is converted to an item called "PLEX";
c) "Plex" is then sold in the internal "market" for ISKs (the game 'currency';
d) BANG! You can buy anything with ISKs, even a ship a NORMAL player would take a year to build.

So, tell me it isnt PAY TO WIN? It's more than that. It's ridiculously MONEY BIASED.

AND THERE IS MORE...

Do you have money? Don't want to swet? Easy. You can also go to the "CHAR BAZAR". Then you can also "convert" REAL MONEY into ISKS, and then BUY a CHAR with 10 years of training...

So, WITH MONEY, you can be a king (or a complete stupid) in this game. You buy the CHAR, you buy the ships. PAY TO WIN elevated to "N"...

This is how CCP makes money. It's more like a "virtual cassino" than a real game.

I will not even coment some scandals in the past envolving programmers from CCP altering the balance of the game for its own game group. What makes me think if there isn't also people using the rules to make more money to CCP ?

So, unless you have plenty of money to throw away, buy a real game. This one doesn't deserve such name. It is a cassino.

EVEBoard ...Just over 60million skill points, each skill was chosen for a reason. I closed my eyes & clicked another skill to train... "BINGO...!!!" ... "This time i got something usefull"

Why would anyone care what that mental deficient thinks?

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.
