I recently just bought the new jackdaw and when i went to insure it the plat pay out is only 1.2 mil. The confessor's insurance pays out 35 mil, basically the what the market value is right now. Why is the jackdaw 's insurance so poor when compared to a different ship of the same class?

The Confessor's insurance payout sounds like a bug. Report it.

FYI: Insurance payouts are supposed to be based on slightly below the mineral value of a ship ("special materials" are not considered)... not the market value of the finished hull.

I noticed the confessor had a load of insurance payout but it turns out it's because of all the gold on the ship

looks like the Svipul also has a 10.7m insurance that pays 35.8 mil

looking at the industry tab on the t3ds, the confessor and Svipul both reprocess into their component parts (same things used to build them) where the Jackdaw reprocess into minerals, which aren't ever used in the build. Their blueprint build costs are all the same.

not sure which is the bug.

LOL, that's cause the Jackdaw is made of wood.

Could it be because insurance values take a month or so to update?

How much insurance do you expect for a TV antenna?
