Hello!

Since I fly Caldari I tank my shields. However, the number of modules I can equip in my ship is overwhelming.

Questions:
What are the different ways to shield tank my ship?

What rigs can I use to improve my tank?

What skills should I train to improve my tank?

Thanks for all the help,
Nicolas

Passive - Relies on shield recharge which is native to your ship. Can be amplified via extenders or shield recharge modules.
Remote Rep - Relies on other ships to repair you such as a Logistics or Spider Tanks
Buffer - High resists, high hitpoints (Alot of extenders)
Speed / Signature tank - Moving fast enough and being small enough that the ship cannot track you
Active Shield - Relies on shield boosters to convert capacitor or capacitor boosters into raw shield hitpoints

All of these styles can intersect.

For exploration complexes - Tech 2 cruisers or tech 3 cruisers with passive tend to be best. As many of the higher esclations have neuting towers making other tanking styles less practical. Using their high resist and low signature penalties they can typically maintain their tank without much issue.

For level 4 missions you can get away with both passive and active tanks.

PvP - Depends on situation, most tanking styles are viable except for passive (used to be with drake trains)
