I'm about to file a missing persons report for all members of the CSM.

Where are you guys?

AWOL or just a dereliction of duty? Vets aren't logging in right now, and Iceland has been quiet for over a week.

Where are you guys?

maybe if you were more connected you would see their activity. I've seen corbex, steve and sugar all take part in discussions in the past two days. Just because they don't seek you out doesn't mean they aren't doing things.

I don't see this as a bad thing personally.

Some CSM members have said that the CSM takes up so much time that they almost can't even log in to the game while in CSM; so it's possible we don't see them here much because they are off working on issues.

However from my perspective, the CSM is nothing more than a block voting contest. There is nothing specific about the CSM that makes people more committed, more knowledgeable about what's happening in the game, more expert on issues, etc. than many people in the community.

Look at the feedback on the warp change idea. Pushed by a CSM member and the result is initially a very poorly constructed concept. Not until the rest of the community provides feedback does CCP get real value.

So for me, except for a very few CSM members, it's great that we don't see them often. Some of the recent comments I have read here have been pretty light on understanding of mechanics and poor on attitudes towards some parts of the community.

The CSM aren't involved in any of the threads im currently **** posting in, therefore the CSM are remiss in their duties.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Quiet, Broski.

I don't see anything here, for us. Nice that you seek them out, but they aren't reporting here - where it matters.

I wouldn't expect 4chan kids to understand. No point in asking JulyAlpha or Josh to explain it to you either. WhenImInSpace prob understands, but he always was the best of your crew.

Wait.. what do you mean Iceland has been quite for a week? you need to be more specific. the 07 show was Thursday, today is Monday.. that is not a week. There is a thread talking about fleet warp changes will CSM and CCP in it as of Friday, the csm and ccp have been making twitter rounds. so.. what the hades are you smoking?

Here is one of the last places that matter. How many people are reached through this place?

Even CCP sometimes don't post here, while they post information elsewhere.

Reddit, their own blogs, Twitter and other third party social networks provide a wider audience than the forum.

We are all just the nut jobs here and a very small group within the community.

One alliance wide evemail by some members of the CSM would reach more people than a post in the forum.

It's not so much that it takes all of one's time as it eats up all of one's willingness to think about, talk about, work towards or even play EVE.

Your typical week of CSMing leaves you between -540 to +90 minutes a week in which you're not going to instantly react to almost any stimulus by saying "Jesus shitfucking christ, shut the **** up about EVE, thanks".

However they should still tell us what they've been up to because after all, they did ask for the job, repeatedly and at length, even after being warned in person and face to face.

I would not recommend shouting half the stuff I post on the forums out my window in my neighborhood.. or in my office..

It doesn't matter who is in CSM right now.

Jump fatigue got a mixed reaction.
Fozzie SOV is mostly been put down as terrible but Fozzie is really confident that he knows best after Phoebe.
Overview icons, CSM said they need to change and were assured that the first set was just a demonstration but nothing changed and they came out just as they are.

Et cetera.

Basically, CSM is a publicity stunt to let the players feel empowered, while being ignored this year.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Yep, tried to inform these guys but they really think CSM has power, they're puppets.. CCP says its going to do, invites CSM to comment on it, then goes right on doing what they wanted to do in the 1st place.

this what happens when they the CSM doesn't offer any value to the game at all except of course to make sure perks are given to its own interest.. which it has in the past as its currently still doing now.
