Please show some maturity by not starting a pointless platform war or reply with "lol, buy a pc".

Any input from CCP on this?
Even if Cider keeps working for the coming month's, me and my AMD card are going to be even more punished now like the 2 year medium shader clamp?

Please show some maturity and buy a PC if you want to game properly....clearly you have the money to do so and it would be ignorant to not understand that choosing a Mac is choosing a lesser gaming experience.

Complains about compatibility.

I thought most people that buy a mac, end up dual booting windows on it anyway? It is after all only a PC, that Apple laughingly charge the gullible more for.

I do love to join in the laughter though, so thanks for that.

lol, buy a pc

Macs are not ment for gamming. Never have been. Dont care what PR firms has to say. Macs are more on the design and productivity end.

Wait till windows 10 comes out then there will be a big PC sale and you can get a PC like the rest of the world you hippy.

I feel for you MAC guys, I've been in the same boat. I'm still smarting over the fact that I bought all those BetaMax tapes and got tired of all the "get VHS" hippes that didn't know good quality when they saw it!

We bought the Phillips system, I think it was called Video 2000. Two sided tapes and they released one that could record 8 hours just in time for the Royal wedding. I think that's why we bought it.

Can't you use bootcamp to boot into Windows and play from there? I thought that was a thing most Mac users did nowadays.

Next you will be complaining about the lack of Linux support.

have been using macs for years and have switched to pc because they are just more flexible and reliable and cheaper, macs are mostly fashion statements these days "oh look you use a dell, well i have an applemac which is much better", no sorry they simply are not.

get a pc for gaming...

If it helps even a bit, if your computer can´t run EvE, there is a pretty high chance it can´t run other (new space/mmo) games either, well at least well...

Only option is to upgrade when it stops to work, unfortunately.

Maybe you could get some money back in exchange for newer PC laptop/desktop (lot cheaper than new Mac´s).

EDIT: even my about 8 years old ACER laptop can still run EvE, even 3 accounts at same time with just some performance drop (at low settings).
And i bet nobody would even remember this things CPU/GPU models ever existed.

I mean to be fair Macs are still a superior platform for many professional users. Just not at all for gaming.

superior in which way? only difference between a pc and mac is operating systems and some software only available on each platform. dont get me wrong i think macs are good i just feel pc's are much more flexible and cheaper to maintain i see no real disadvantage switching to pc from mac, i switched because i wanted to game and a gaming machine was cheaper than a mac alternative

Just FYI - Cider is just pretty wrapper for bog standard WINE. And WINE works perfectly fine with EVE client although with some performance drop. So maybe you could, I dunno, just install WINE from homebrew or Macports or whatever and use that along with the Windows client? Chances are it will actually work better than the official version since that is using ancient build of WINE.

The laserdisc version of "Wrath of Khan" has the most echos on Kirks scream of "Khan" out of any of the commercially released versions. True story.
