I would suggest this in the suggestions forums as an interesting video the devs could do, but thought I'd ask here first if it already exists....

Basically I was wondering if anyone knows of a site that has video and/or images of Eve as it was at release vs where it has advanced to today in 2015?! It would be very interesting to see the side-by-side comparison. The ships, textures, stations (I always thought the Gallente Quafe station interiors were cool!), space structures (or lack thereof), space background art etc. It looked massively different yester-year than it does now.

at fanfest 14 there was a session that was pretty much just old eve movies. It was nice the morning after the pubcrawl, walking down to harpa and watching eve movies on a big screen in a room full of other eve players. Probably one of my favorite things from fanfest.

Only problem with watching old videos is that it really makes me miss the old sensor booster effect, the glowing ball of death animations for missiles, and of course the torpedo explosions. I'm always nostalgic for the old school ship models, then I see them and remember that we are better off now.

Edit:

It was mostly Mallers and Thoraxes back then. Blackbird pilots were somewhat rare due to how ewar worked back then. Rotation jamming 4tw!

There isn't a collection of old videos that I am aware of. Have definately tried to find them, but no such luck.

No trendy youtube back then. To find it there, you need to search for vintage clips uploaded more recently, among those that made them anyway. Seeing broadband was a bit more of a rare commodity, shouldn't be a whole lot. More chance of finding things hidden away on regular upload file sharing/storage sites, using google with date range options. Even then, a lot of websites dated from back then have been updated with current media.
