There is only one of my alts that doesn't already has it at V. Because it was created not so long ago, and invention skills were more important for generating benefits. But it's in the training queue.

This would only advantage rich established industrialists and make it even harder for anyone else to compete.

That was my point, and the reason why i don't care. I'm part of that group.

It takes 2 weeks at most to get 10 lab slots + 10 production slots. Add another 2-4 weeks for the 20 -25 lab slots.

Outside of that, you've got much better ability to research other BPO's, setup more bpc production and production slots in general.

Again, not sure how it's a disadvantage given how long it takes to research some Hulls and how many extra slots you'd get if it was to go ahead. In fact, I'm pretty sure people without the skills who waited all that time - with their many alts - to research the Hulls would be rather annoyed when the new folk 'have it so easy'

Thing of it like the learning skills.. Lots of moaning when they were removed ;)

At the moment production slots are one of the very few things limiting a rich established industrialist's output. If you give me unlimited slots I, and those like me, will have nothing to stop us cornering every worthwhile market, leaving only terrible products for the less established player.

The less established player, on the other hand, is primarily limited by knowledge and wealth, since they can easily throw their entire NAV into very few production slots without losing efficiency, slots are not a limiting factor for them.

Once the rich have taken everything good and left the poor with only crumbs, how do the poor get un-poor in order to take advantage of all those slots they cannot efficiently fill?

This problem is already felt and can be seen in the post-Crius market charts for almost any low-rank product. If you remove or lift the production slot cap then you essentially eliminate the PLEX cost which is pretty much the only brake on my industrial earnings.

But sure, be my guest, finish what CCP Greyscale started in Crius and totally shaft all but the most powerful industrialists.

Malcanis's Law: "Whenever a mechanics change is proposed on behalf of 'new players', that change is always to the overwhelming advantage of richer, older players."
