Where is this skin?
Kaalakiota Golem and a other view
Because i have this ....
Golem Kaalakiota in game
That skin, horrible, eaten by the century. Looks like it's me he did paint and I paint very bad (for those who have trouble I surrounded by green areas but I could not continue I had no more paint). So I do not know if the other skins have the same problem, but give me two services:
- Check your skins.
- And re-find your matt paints, because making shiny things does not make them most beautiful (especially here).

I actually like the new Golem skin. They did a great job lining up the red chevron thingy.
I'll admit the kronos skin is the best of the four, with the absolute worst being the extra paladin skin. That hideous pattern just serves to hide all details on any surface its on. Not just on the paladin hull either.

But now ship is eaten by wear and rust, it totaly ugly .
the best change adds the new without losing the old and that CCP has forgotten.

Your golem skin has the Lai Dai logo on it. I'd suggest filing a bug report as it should have the Kaalakiota logo.

Set your shader quality setting to "medium".
That removes the dirt layer on the ship skins, and that's about the only difference between medium and high at the moment.

T2 Ships keep their original manufacture logo. This is not a bug, all the other Marauder SKINS have their original logo intact. It makes sense since the original manufacturer has naming rights here. I wouldn't use 3rd party viewers as a bench mark for what SKINS are - a Golem is a Golem. A skinned Golem is a skinned Golem. A Kaalakiota Golem doesn't exit.

I took a quick look at the marauder skins when they came out and thought that the golem skin was probably the only one I'd get, (then again I never fly a golem so probably not). Guess I didn't take a close enough look Straight

I don't really see a problem...now the Golem looks tactical, and the red stripes makes it go faster, true story. Don't you dare touch my beautiful Blops Golem, CCP! It's what I've always wanted since hopping in one over two years ago.

Getting rid of the grey splotches on the red striping is all that I would allow...maybe. they don't really add an aged look to it so much as they just look ugly. My only real complaint if I had any.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

They should put red stripes on Jackdaw too. Maybe it will go faster than now. Currently without speed mode and with standard prop mode it is slower than my Gila.

... official pic in dev blog he have kaalakiota logo and lot of item in world product with a license without original logo copyright, even in reality the name of the object changes completely: if you want a exemple go on net and look car, computer, clothing....
For golem i like red chevron and anthracite grey but not wear and rust.
I just wonder why the skin is not cleaner as in the original image captures.

Pretty sure that's a Raven, not a Golem. Not sure if the same rules apply to T1 hulls. That said in a prior comment it was stated that some ships that had not been through QC could have the wrong logo, which was likely the case here.

Edit: As far as the skin itself, seems like all Kaalakiota ships got hit. The worn looking edges are present on the Onyx and Nighthawk as well at some level as of the V5++ changes with the latest update. They are also not removed by using the medium shader quality on either at last check.

This was intended in V5++ and all ships should have a little bit of wear long the edges of things. Here's the difference of a nighthawk between SiSi and TQ before the change: http://i.imgur.com/6gzbjU2.png

It's supposed to bring out more detail.

Also the Lai Dai logo is also intended, CCP has started that all T2 ships with a skin will retain their original manufacturer's logo

A number of the V5++ ships are actually quite pristine even with the update, which isn't the case with the Golem and Onyx in Kaalakiota colors. Most ships you can see this under medium settings where the dirt isn't present. These ships on the other hand still have the worn edges, hence the issue that many have with this particular skin. The dirtless version looks like it belongs on a derelict wreck.

Looks great, what's the problem? Too much details? Turn down your graphic card i guess...

Been around since the beginning.

Looks like it was scrubbed to hard with a brillo pad. Has nothing to do with detail. Other detailed ships look fine.
