As for Webvan and Don Purple.. you are both hereby placed on notice. I have perma-dibs on stuff, and you both know this. Failure to comply with the unwritten rules of GD will result in probably nothing whatsoever, but it will be a serious nothing... very serious indeed.
Can confirm the seriousness of this and welcome back OP

I took what was for me an extremely long long break. It was only 24 hours but when I came back, I had to do the tutorials all over...

I'd say if you're still in here after 40 minutes, then it's definitely too long and you should just relax and make other plans.

Eve too complicated? Try Astrum Regatta.

I was suckered in by 10 free days and realising how close to come skills I was in training.

The only time you have been gone too long is when the population is completely diluted by WoW types and the game is complete dumbed down to one attack command and pre-configured ships.

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

I just recently resubbed after not playing seriously since '11 (and even that was pretty briefly, after quitting in '09). It's so different now that my Nighthawk looks like a Drake instead of a Ferox. LOTS to get used to.

now that i've looked around for a few days, i found a new basic skill has been added (don't think i missed it before), and that instead of BCs getting an improved role, especially after t3 ships, they were made even less relevant. the 'new' cane, brought a tear to my eye. Cry

The only time it was ever too long, not to return to eve. was when they had the tech 2 lottery...

as it stands now though welcome back enjoy the new content and extra shiny ships . soon there will be extra fireworks to boot.

I started playing again a few days ago. I haven't played seriously since 2004 though so I'm more than a little lost. Going to stick with it though.

I've been playing on and off since 2004. Just started again on a fresh account about a month ago and I love it. Eve is a challenge again.
I could recommend this to anyone that's a bit bored with where they're at. Try a new pilot without any help from old friends or isk from your main.

Whew! HI!! I just got back from a two day break! I had to attend three weddings and a funeral -
not the real things, the movie!

So glad to be back to reality. Did I miss anything???

There just isn't anything that can be said!

Much like and old lover, the memories of years playing Eve linger..... But have any of you returned after years of not playing and rekindled that old flame, or is it never the same again?

I'm tempted, so very tempted, but what would i do now?
Where would i go now?
Would i even remember how to undock?

Talk me into it, or if you wish, talk me out of it...........
