This is my fit, but the dps seems to be really low. I can switch crystals and get 634.2 using Gleam. Currently equipped with Aurora

Any ideas would be welcome.

Most skills are at 4, with a few at 5 and Large Beam Laser Specialisation Currently training to 4..

Cheers

Apoc has no damage bonus so it is hard to get a good DPS on it.
However it has pretty good damage projection and application.

It's mostly good with Mega Pulse but overall I find it's a pretty bad ship for PVE.

Actualy I'm of the opinion that Laser ships are bad for PVE as a general rule, except maybe the Paladin.
I don't know why so many people are drawn to them for PVE, they are probably the worst weapon system for that.
(damage type and weak toward most ewar)

You could try something like that, or single rep with one more heat sink or damage control.
Alternatively, a mega beam setup with a micro jump drive.

Don't use Aurora on this fitting, it goes to x2 your lock range and is the lowest damage. Gleam is edge case ammo, Apoc is all about range and the range penalty on Gleam is massive. Sometimes the extra tracking is nice, though. I'd stick with faction MF and UV lenses for range. Try out Megapulses and Scorch, they go nicely with the hull's bonuses.

If you are shooting at the kinetic rats (Guristas/Serpentis), like your choice of hardeners suggests, I'd use another ship altogether. Armageddon is an option, if you want to stick with Amarr T1.

Also, your drone bay is a mess. I used two sentries and a flight of lights or a flight of mediums + lights.

Yeah I know about the drone bay, I tend to use the ones from mission looting as disposable ammo :) Then use the T2 if needed.

Since you are doing beams anyway, have you considered lmjd fit?

lmjd and shield tank in mids, dps and tracking mods in low. This way you can have in low 3-4 dps mods, 1-2 tracking mods, dc, drone dps or targeting range mod.

Don't forget to get implants from lp store. Something like 3% to cap capacity, 3% to cap recharge. The highest percentage that npc corp lp store has is 5%. For 6% you will have to go to concord lp store.

Pulse repper and group guns into 4 and 4 and only use MWD when getting to gates or mission items and your cap will be fine. Stable is over-rated and your real tank is in your high slots anyway. Drones and rigs to flavor but I have always found I can handle most situations with the ones fitted on this fit. Swap out MWD for a MJD in missions you know it will be better for, I can think of a few off the top of my head just can't remember their names.

If you want good dps then use Mega Pulse Lasers II loaded with Scorch crystals, then you'll see the dps rise.
