What is the best covert ops frigate, NOT stealth bombers. Looking for something like "W>X>Y>Z" sort of answer. Thanks!

They all have the same scan bonus.....so it's really personal preference

Anathema is the best allround as it can fit everything you'd want while still being nicely fast. People state the cheetah being "best" just because it's fast (and they like voicing silly memes without actual knowledge) but the truth is that it's a ***** to fit if you're actually going to use it properly. Buzzard is a tad slow and is hampered by warp range issues due to cap. Helios would be fine if it had a 3rd highslot.

-Cheetah for people who think that scouting is for AFK alts (or for folks who never actually flown one but want to voice their opinion anyway)
- Anathema for people who actually USE their covops
- the others don't matter

Excellence is not a skill, it's an attitude.

Actually, the cheetah is better since its more forgiving fitting wise, the grid on an Anathema is just.. tight.

Cheetah, Anathema, Buzzard, and Helios are good choices......... :P

I'm sorry, i couldn't resist. My point being that they all have the same scan bonus

so its really preference.

I use the anathema myself.

The answer depends on what you want to do with your covert frigate? I prefer the Buzzard.

High
covert cloak
expanded probe launcher (I use Sister's for low CPU)
offline salvager (or online if low CPU use mod in low)

Mid
MWD
scram
web
passive em resist
shield extender

Low
MAPC
1 x whatever (WCS, DC II, nanofibre, intertial stabilizer, etc)

Rigs
2 x T1 scanning rigs

2,600 EHP with reasonably balanced resists
(Fit 2 x MAPC and fit a Medium Shield Extender II for 4,300 EHP)
mwd when needed
probe launcher
scram
web
salvager, cos you never know when you'll find an unattended wreck. Got to love 75 million ISK from one T3 salvage.

What else do you need to do in a Covert frigate?

Anathema (because it looks great) > Cheetah (because it has those cool green lights) > Helios > Buzzard (because it's made out of two wooden planks.)

For PVP related uses.

Cheata overall because it does everything any of the others do, but it's much more agile & the fastest one cloaked. This means a lot if you are sneaking up on a target and trying to get there fast or get in very close with out getting uncloaked. Not to mention getting away from competent bubble camps.

The Anathema is probably the best tackle covt ops. You can fit a pretty nice little set up on it with an AB, scram & dual tracking disruptors that will let you get a quick tackle so your main PVP ships can land.

cheetah or hound

yes hound is a SB, but honestly if you think you're going to be able to gun someone down in a cov-ops you're crazy
its bad enough to try and tackle someone in a tankless frig yet alone trying to out gun them with 2 small turrets

but for recon, travel, blockade running and general cloaky games the Cheetah is best

Alright, related question, which one is the best for AFK cloaking and pissing off botters by just sitting in system all day and not letting them bot their bots?

Devour to survive, so it is, so it's always been Eve is a great game if you can get past all of the asshats....

um... one with a cov-ops cloak?

it makes no difference if you are just sitting there, they can only see what you are in if you let them so you could be in a cloaky tengu for all they know and or fear

Avatar is a nice covops titan.

You could also try a cloaky charon.

I can't believe no one has given you the answer you're looking for...

W>X>Y>Z

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.
