*** Public Statement - Silent Protest ***

Dear all,

This is just a formal declaration made by a group of players, apart from the fact that we all hang out on same ts / mumble channels and fight each other in a fictional environment, who harbor no ill will against each other nor against CCP or their staff. No troll, no smack, no initiative to debate CCP and dev policies is intended. We just feel its time to take this step right now.

We, the 166 live players (where each has min. 2 chars/multiple accounts) who agreed to this measure, will be logging off for 7 days, starting the 01.06.15. from approx 0100 EVE time. As we are not allowed to discuss policies and politics via forums, we cannot state why this is going to happen. Hopefully within the forthcoming period, our speaker will address the issue via channels which will be considered legitimate.

But the silent protest will happen as no other mean is left available.

Please do note that we have exactly 71 paying subs and the rest are accustomed to GTCs. The protest will last for 7 days. We will repeat it every now and then to remind CCP of what they promised, yet failed to deliver.

Though I admire your cohesion and formal tone, I fail to see the point of saying you're protesting without saying what you're protesting about.

Maybe wait for your leaders to make a proper statement in a proper place ?

this sounds like one of these fuel protests irl where people dont use a petrol station for 24hours but fill the car up with extra fuel before the protest to cover themselves.

Making protests known to the public means nothing, and can be seen as nothing more than attention seeking when you give 0 context, regardless of the circumstances.

PS. Far more accounts have unsubbed, permanently, due to changes CCP have changed many times over, I doubt using threats like this will sway them without good reason.

So you have started a silent protest but formally posted on the busiest forum.. Hmmm not sure how silent that is. But yes be good to know what you're actually protesting about.

I don't know you but I'm coincidently playing your game, all my other accounts are inactive already and this one will be in 2 more days. Leaving until this community changes, if ever.

Devs, GMs and isds are who make this community with their rules and policies, which is very different now from what it was years ago. Now its full of ****. I don't belong in this type of environment, I'm a very different person than this especially in a ******* video game, so forth I leave.
