The systems owned by NPC rats, such as the title, what are they? I assume without proper diplomacy, you cannot use stations, and they are all unfriendly? Can players take over these systems?

For all intents and purposes they are simply the same as NOC stations in highsec. Very few unique variations in terms of what you can do with them.

This thread should be in Features, because that sounds like good ideas.

I assume they belong to the faction in question therefore cannot be captured.

They're NPC factions and follow the exact same rules as factions in high-sec and lowsec:

- They have stations anyone can dock in
- They have mission agents and a LP store
- You can gain standings for JC's, discounts etc

The mechanics of the space they're located in (nullsec) will differ. Which has to do with location and not faction.

So do pirate faction NPC still attack you if you have +8 standing ?

Having high standings with the Pirate Factions won't stop them fron attacking you in the belts and anomalies, as counter intuitive that actually sounds.

Of course if you stay out of their stomping grounds you can avoid them entirely, and you can gain standings and LP rewards by doing missions for them. But aside from that there's no insentive. Even if you shoot the rats, it only gives you a marginal standing loss with their faction, leaving corporation standings untouched. Meaning you can have +8 with the Guristas Productions with access to their Level 4s and jump clones, and in turn have -10 with the Guristas Faction, with zero penalties.

Being an official member of a pirate faction is impossible, and working for them is extremely impractical, as it will pit you against every empire faction to a point you'll be locked out of Highsec if you're not careful to handpick you missions so you only shoot drones (which if you are a fulltime Nullsec dweller this may or may not affect you). Their story missions even cut your CONCORD standings, but I haven't really found out if that's really a penalty aside from being impossible to fix negative standings with them.

Yeah I had the same questions as well because that's my next area that I want to go to is NPC Curse. I was wondering tho how the locals were and who or what is there besides the agents I can maybe try to deal with, thanks in advance.
