Hello guys. I am sorry if this is the wrong section, but I don't know where else to go. I am looking to start a group or organization for broadcasting news about the game, similar to 'The Scope'. This would not be a corp or alliance, and all members to this group would be volunteers that are already in different corps/alliances. It will have a Youtube channel as well as a website, and in important events, it will be a group that broadcasts/covers that specific event. Has anyone done anything like this before? If so, would anyone have an interest in writing articles or streaming content on Twitch for this? Thanks o7

You need one of these new Social Corps that are being considered.

Oh ****....did I just say that? ****!

Well, if you want to do this, you need to draw a line in the sand and define what exactly you want to do. If you just want to spout non-trivial slow news like the latest Titan kill or every bowl movement the Nullsec coalitions have, we have plent of (excruciatingly boring) sites providing top content on these matters. Like EVE24 news and the like. But that's not what the Scope Reports are about is it? They are mostly tools to help flesh out the setting of the game and give lore reasons for the latest developments in the story.

Now, if you want to provide people with well-thought in-universe news like the roleplaying friendly Scope broadcasts, look no further than the IGS to dip your feet. Currently our only reliable source of news there is thet Gutter Press, and as their name suggests, their news are anything but serious. Funny to read though, I love their segments on rogue drones masquerading as people!

There's demand for this kind of service in the roleplaying circles, despite them being bastardized as nerdy nobodies. Nerdy nobodies that make recurring cameos in the Scope Reports, but still. The question here is, are you nerdy enough to embrace the roleplaying?

Some reports on what is happening out there could be useful, a map with number of kills in the last 24 hours doesn't tell you much about why.

Today on the scope news:

Shuttles exploded on Jita undock for autopiloting. Now for the internet spaceship weather it's Caroline Star.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

I say go for it

I like the Scope thing as it brings color to a sometimes dull universe (especially if you're new)

Contact some guys in Providence (CVA, Volition, etc) and ask them where you can find role players that will be more than happy to fill this role of Scope News, player edition

Usual process:

YOU start providing content and others will join in.
