Eve has a tall skill tree and having just created another account I am finding it difficult and frustrating to wait for ships that I know how to use.

As a tight arse I don't want to buy a character, I was thinking about all those created characters no longer in use...

How about a race specific character/alt pick up scheme (like a lottery or line up) for skilled characters the community has created but no-longer uses.

For instance I have been playing for years and I want to create either another account or an alt character. I go to the amarr slave market and choose an alt character, pay the slave master and log on as the new character (that someone else made years ago) I look to see what possessions, isk, ships etc they have and go right into battle.

The good news is; more pvp and quicker, you set a new skill plan from existing skills, players will stay in eve longer, more fun quicker, players who really like their new alt will create a new account with it (revenue for eve), players will make better characters their main and the quality of eve will go up

The bad news is; players who have not completed basic training on one character will not be able to take on an alt until this is completed, you might get another 500k skill point player or you might get a 100mil skill point player with a hold full of tech II bpos.

This will level the table from beginners to old timers and inject quality skilled players into fleet battles right away. New players (after basic training) could join an amazing alliance and be in null sec in two weeks AND hold their own. Old timers with one too many industry toons can pick up a decent pvp alt character and join in better than they can now.

i like the idea of creating a permanent amarr slave market where i can go and... well at the very least find slaves.

ps. they should be a place i can walk to in stations

And what happens if the original owner of said character comes back to find you've lost all their ships, been scammed out of all their isk and sold everything else to fund your obvious meth habit?

(That is how this works, right? I mean, no-one is going to give away a useful character when they could just sell it.)

I dont get it...... you say you dont want to buy a character, then you follow up that with a paragraph saying you want a place where you could go and buy a character.

The only thing I am getting from this 'idea' (appart from a slight headache) is that you can't be bothered to train up an alt character, so you want to buy one, but you don't want the cost of buying one....

You just want free characters.... that you take from people that are not playing at the moment????

I don't want to take toons off anyone - got it - O.k.
I don't want to buy a character (by buying with $$$ and redeeming plex iskies) - got it - O.k.
I do want affordable alts that are traded more often IN GAME - got it- O.k.
I would like race specific character hubs - FOR INSTANCE Amarr would have slave markets.
I would love for these toons to be decent in skills
