I have had bacon cupcakes.
Spice cake for the cupcake itself with maple frosting, topped with a strip of bacon.
Sad that maple does not bide well with you...
For me it was like pancakes with maple syrup and bacon on the side are wrapped up in one.
I would do awful things to obtain more of these... fortunately I have a supplicant who delivers them to me weekly for our sunday nerdfests. This minion shall have a long and fruitful life.

Lived in Crystal Minnesota for a year back in 93 and first came across Maple syrup then. It wasn't that big in the UK at the time, but is finding a larger market here now.

hahaha no that's not me. I think it was 93. What year back then did you have massive snow fall and drifts? I was there the winter after that. So it may have been 94. It was a long time ago and my memory is a little vague. Oops

93 was the first big flood. We got another one in 08.
93 was also when I discovered that yes, a VW rabbit diesel can make it through 1ft deep floodwaters at 55mph.... yet a ford fairmont could not.
I miss that car. I had a bran muffin from perkins that made it to the east coast and back before being nommed to death by a feral cat.

OMG I had a rabbit GTI I bought in Maine. I still have the plates for it. Oh that means I will know the year.
