Hello,

So I recently got a prepaid visa debit card and they just keep on rejecting my 3 month subscription. I've sent multuple tickets over the last 48 hours and I still haven't gotten a response. I know It has nothing to do with the money on the card because I have more than enough. Any auggestions?

Some prepaid cards like that require you to go to a certain site to register the card in your name before you can use it for online transactions.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I already went to the bank that I purchased this card at and they said it is already registered, they refereed me to a website to register it but every time that I got to the website, it just pops up with the normal website, nothing to do with registering the card.

There is a difference between activating and registering. There should be a website either on the card itself or in the papers/packaging of the card where you can register by attaching your name, address and contact info to the card so you can use it for online purchases.

Being a prepaid debit card, there may be restrictions on international purchases, its definitely something to call and ask them specifically about.

one afternoon, i tried to buy a couple plex with a prepaid card.

several times in fact, and it kept declining, couldnt figure it out.

i had to buy the plex from a distributor in the US, because apparently the funds on those cards are ususally only allowed to be spent in the US.

funny story, my bank even charges me to pay for eve because its an overseas company. i tried to get around this by buying the pre-paid card.

ill be willing to bet this is your problem. and i will say that the next time you buy a prepaid card, you may need to find one good for foreign currency as well.

Same, I pay $3 for "Foreign Currency Conversion". Never tired with a prepaid card though.

I'm not sure what card you are using but I use prepaid cards to pay my eve subscriptions. Bluebird and Greendot are the ones I use.

Keep in mind there are two types of prepaid cards. 'Generic Customer Cards' (this is the state of the card when you buy it off teh shelf. It will say "valued customer" as the name on the card) and 'Personalized Cards' (A personalized card is the one you receive in the mail once you have activated the one you bought in the store). In some cases you need the personalized card to make online payments to certain places. A personalized card is the one you receive in the mail after you have purchased and activated the one you bought in the store.

Some prepaids (and their banks) do not allow international payments without first allowing it through your card holder or issuing bank.
