Launcher in Checking Shared Cache Loop

This started for me yesterday. Each and every time I try to login, the Launcher waits as it checks shared cache. I can even wait, close the Launcher, and immediately login and it checks each and every time. The Launcher also has to have my mouse cursor over it's window to show progress on this repeat check or it freezes and will not continue until the mouse cursor is once again over the Launcher window.

I submitted a Bug Report that was closed in less than 5 hours with the memo to 'run rescache.exe to see if you're missing any files and submit a log report if it continues."

I don't know how to Find the Launcher log reports...

I have run the rescache.exe. No files were missing or corrupted. I have selected download all the Download on Demand files, that was put in place when DoD came out and after I had to do a complete clean install last time the Launcher had issues with itself on my computer. It's still in this loop of checking each and every login and needing the mouse cursor over the Launcher window to complete this re-check.

Two questions. How do I get to this log report so I can submit it, and am I alone on this glitch to the Launcher?

Any more info or responses on that? This is also something that drives me nuts. Not only does the launcher check the cache integrity every time I start the launcher; it also directs me to the screen where I have to enter a name of one of the chars on the account every day as I have daily changing IP addresses. It is particularly nuts when I typed the password wrong and need to enter the Char name only to see that my password was wrong, and then the launcher re-selects the client user name of the last successful login and not the user name I actually want to log in. This is an unacceptable level of ridiculousness!

Alas, no response as of yet. I don't know how to find this 'Launcher Log Reports' so I could send them in the first place. The constant recheck is still going on. The mouse cursor still needs to be over the Launcher window to check shared resources. Last evening I then received the grey bar of waiting until I changed the language to French then back to English so the Launcher would at least do it's busywork of recheck and let me login.

Basically the Launcher on my computer is slowly killing itself through glitches.

As the Repair Tool is completely unreliable for it's duties from the possibility of an old (therefore broken for current client) version being reloaded to the CCP Eve files, I'll be at a loss to play relatively soon unless some sort of fix is put in place.

I flat out refuse to do another complete wipe of my computer's HDD, then go through hours of installing the OS, drivers, updates, personal info, and a clean Eve client so close to the last format reboot from the Launcher having mental and emotional issues with itself.

I'm having the same problem everytime I start the launcher, it started two days ago, It's quite annoying because this only happened when there was a big patch but now it's happening everytime and I have to wait 5-10 minutes for it to finish.

Hello.

you can try the following.

- Re-install your client. I recommend the default (C) Drive location for the time being.
- Run the repair. both via the launcher and with in the C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE ( look for Repair.exe)
- if that doesn't work. trying pasting this into your browser and then running it.

( please note this patch is of 17/05/2015 so may not work for you if a new patch as been released)


If all of those fail, feel free to post the error and a link to your launcher.log file ( pastebin or mailbigfile)

I Do believe that these errors are doing with the launcher caching the patch and so it is not being applied correctly ( or the wrong patch is being applied) just a theory at the moment though.
