New type of avatar animation spotted in video, character dies.

And there's also the ongoing MindClash tidbits running in the Ticker !

Quite some time ago CCP realised the potential of the role playing community as customers ...
... and it clearly reflects in videos like those from The Scope and the whole Drifter storyline.

And we do keep getting clothes as well ....


But what really stands out for me is this new character animation sequence ...
... I mean, it does look like a ragdoll, but that'd actually be a great step forward !

I had a ragdoll when i was a child.... i ripped the arms of it.



Beyond that, i kinda miss seeing wooikes in EVE

A little part of me dies inside whenever I see these Scope videos with avatars. At least in this one someone actually moved instead of just stand there like a mannequin.

I'm actually shocked to see some animation this time and now that I have a taste of it would be great if we could see more Scope videos with animated characters. Animated avatars bring some much needed "life" to the characters in the videos, it's an enormous improvement in my opinion.

And yes, it very much does look like RagDoll.

Meh.. youre reading to much into it.

I mean, it would be neat if some devs had continued working on the avatar/incarna/WiS codes/features during their 20% time.. or special project time.. or whatever CCP has like that, but I doubt it.

One day we will have our Mos Eisley cantinas that don't serve droids with aliens playing instruments and buttface aliens saying 'hi!' and their jerk friends 'interpretting' for them and bragging about death sentences and how they don't like you and then you have to use your laser sword to cut off their arm because screw settling this **** like adults and Han shot first I don't care what anybody else says where is our justice for poor Greedo you bastards all he wanted to do was a little blackmail maybe even skim a little off the top because Jabba doesn't pay for **** and Greedo's got a family to feed too but now who is going to look after little Greedo jr now that Han shot him in cold blood like a stone cold murderer and Chewie pretty much runs the whole show anyways its just that he needs Han to interpret for him because on Tatooine 'Ggggggrrraaawwwwwwwrrrrrraaararaarrrrrr' means 'I just slept with your mother you bantha sphicter' and Chewie would get shot like immediately.. or more than likely have his arm cut off because like I said earlier screw settling scuffles like adults when you are drunk on swamp water.

And Holographic table dancers, because that was literally the only good thing to come out of X:Rebirth.

Pretty much ALL of CCP's trailers/promo vids use pretty special effects that aren't actually in game, I wouldn't read much into it.
