Show me the number of runs ON the blueprint

Hello

its simple as you can get:
stick a number onto the blueprint copy's, like for other stacked items.

So you can see at the first glance, what you got and can sort it out the way you need.
Going through sub menus* or klicking each one for "informations" is just clunky.

*Even if you use the industry menu to know what you got, you cant move them from there into your ship or so - and the mess remains in ur hangar.

Remember: producing players got hundreds of copys laying around.
We need a clear structure to work and having NUMBER OF RUNS sticking on the blueprint... yeah that would help a lot to organize our stuff :)

thanks

This would be awesome. Showing ME and TE would be nice, also, but I'll grant it does not have the intuitive simplicity of what OP is suggesting. Non-blueprint items stack, BPCs don't. Stacks of non-BPs show a number of items, since a BPC can never have a multi-item stack the same display could definitely be used to show runs remaining.

Post this to the Little Things thread?

+1 either way.

Can someone explain, why we just don't have single run copies which would be stackable and usable as a group (add like 30 from stack of 100 to one job).

Of course this would defeat the price difference between 1 x 100 run and 100 x 1 run copies.

I like it, too. It certainly WOULD reduce the number of items in the blueprint copy container, yes.

I wonder as to its doability, and it would have certain consequences:

It would mean: BPCs of every possible combination of ME/TE would get their own itemID, and then they would become stackable. So the number of itemIDs would be increased by [number of copyable BPOs + number of inventable BPC]x10. I wonder if this is a good trade-off for removing all the individual BPCs from the individual item database. Frankly, no idea.

This would also change existing game mechanics: right now, you can e.g. put in a 19-run-tech2-module blueprint copy into your production lines. It runs for ~ 6-8 hours. To use your production line again, you have to log in again when it is done, deliver the job, and insert the next BPC-manufaturing job.

With BPCs stackable, you could actually start very long manufacturing jobs. It would, for example, revolutionize t2-drone production (and probably lower their market price, when more ppl build them who are shying away from the short manufacturing interval right now).

I would also make its stackable if they are at same research levels. It would just simplify game a lot.

Which is pretty feasable now that there are only 11 possible levels of each.

However I don't think this would be necessary. Just make the system check the ID, ME and TE on the items you want to stack. If they match, allow the fusion. No need to add unique items for each level combination.

Edit: Also make it check the total number of runs doesn't exceed the allowed maximum.
