Building a new future.

So i just read the devblog about the Citadels. And I must tell you i am amazed! But there is a but :D
- In the current outpost construction system I warp in a 2484m long freighter and spawn an egg from my cargo, feed that egg with some yummy parts, push a button and wait for the egg hatch. From that egg a beautiful 52km long station will emerge and i happily dock in it. it kind of possible if i count in that the egg use the materials and construct the outpost in the spot.

- On the other hand if I understand well enough the new system i warp in with the same 2484m long ship spawn a hellish abomination what trough some ritual called anchoring summon a station 100km long and if I feel the urge i can shuffle it back to the ship. I know it's working with so many structure like control towers but that is only 6452m long and none can dock in it!
It is to me like putting **** back in the horse.

What Id like to see in the future is a construction fleet buzzing around a structure what will become a citadel or what ever.
Imagine that you have to build these monstrous structures with your own work not jut summon from the deep of the warp.

How ? You still need an "egg" a frame what you can carry to the site with a freighter but after that you need to lock it and use a high slot module (like remote repairer) in order to actually build it with the materials in your cargo.
The module has a building rate defined in m3 materials built in per second require a lock on the construction frame and materials in your cargo. The t2 version has a significantly higher building rate but higher capacitor usage.
The finished structure cannot be unanchored but can be deconstructed. with some optional losses in materials (if you blow up a structure you can get materials from it trough deconstruction of the derelict.

I thing it will open some nice game-play opportunity like realistic construction defending or raiding the construction fleet + without forged anchoring times if you can bring the numbers you can build a whole xl citadel in about hours instead of i don't know one day ?

What do you capsulliers think about it ?

Didn't they just make a new anchoring animation showing the thingy being constructed by nanites?

This one. Your ship drops off a box, kind of like a delivery guy dropping off a flat packed bookcase. Fortunately, nanites build it for you instead of you spending the next week swearing at the instructions.

It'd be cool if you dragged an asteroid to the building location and fashioned the structure out of that.

Got to love the combination of nanotech, matter compaction and direct energy to matter conversion that have gone into these things.

Shame the onboard drinks dispensers still produce something that looks and smells like tea but tastes almost exactly the same as it doesn't.

Yes they made it and they made a new forcefield effect but according the dev blog they are not interested in keeping the forcefield system alive. Why would they do it with the anchoring?
