Every ship is good for PvE.
Combat ship ofc.

5 years in npc corp, not sure if worth helping... he would join ANY corp and learn something by simply talking with peaople...

Dpending on who he asks he might either learn something ...
... or will be told to skill for a BS asap to reach lvl4s.

It's either/or, not both.

I was suppose to join a PVE corp awhile back but as i am those on and off player so my skill is pretty crap to even do incursion. I admit i am not those super hardcore type of player so i believe not much corp would wanna hire me or such but i am pretty okay with it as i play for fun. Anyway i just asking for more info here don't have to be so hostile ya :D.

In order to remotely help you, we need to know what kind of PvE you wanna focus on :)
Can a Rokh run lvl 1 missions? Sure.
Can a Rokh run Incursions? Not so much.

Bring on the juicy details mate.

That shouldnt be a problem, just have to clear it with his pimp first though miss.

Thanks Hipqo, I was planning for incursion in the long run. Why is rokh not viable for incursion??

Of course.

But some ships perform better than others.

By all means, it is all you.

However, this time don't leave him in your front pocket, it got all nasty and funky last time.

OP

Drop the idea of BIG ship means winning. No matter if it is PVE or PVP.

Need to see your skill set, cuz, mounting 125mm gatling on a Rohk is bad mmmkay?

Get some some third party tools, EvEmon, EFT, PYFA something to help understand where you stand skill and fiting wise.

Take everything you hear in NPC Corps with a HUGE ******* grain of salt, most of them have no f'n clue where the undock button is let alone what is out side of their .9 security blanket.

Join UNI for ffs

Then join RvB

After you have done this you will have some command in what you are doing.

The Rokh lacks a damage bonus. There are better options.

It is serviceable when used with a micro jump drive and rails.

The Rokh was for an obsolete meta that just wasn't practical to begin with.

Rail Rokh found itself in a sniper fleets and Incursion fleets.

If you are going to run some missions and you focused on hybrids then Megathron or either Hyperion would work better than Rokh.

And if you are really old school guy and as a part of a nostalgie mood you still could use Rokh for mining.

Im curious.. does WoW or other games have the same percentage of 4+ year old 'Noobs' in its ranks?

I swear.. its like every other person you see in eve these days is a multi year subscribing noob.

Seriously.. at what point are people deemed competent enough?

I'm a 2 year old noob. And from what I can tell everyone hates something or other, some even hate noobs. o.O

I've no clue on the Rokh.

I do like the Dominix though, I tend to like droning on.

The Dominix is a drone battleship, and if you find things getting hectic, then drones are always helpful for keeping things simple.

Rokh is a very solid ship. That with the proper skills and you'll solo level IV missions with no problem.

There just isn't anything that can be said!

The Rokh only has an advantage over other battleships at extreme ranges, as all the other battleships quickly catch-up and surpass the Rokh DPS (no damage bonus, remember) at moderately long range.

Being able to warp to 150 km or further also made sniping from extreme ranges impractical.

CCP has made moves to remove racial stuff, like Caladari being the sniping race (counters Gallente as the in-your-face brawling race), in favour of balancing all races equally. It was surprising that the Rokh was passed-over the last round of battleship balancing.
