Missiles: Insta Damage or Almost As Fast

This change is to missile damage landing, not to speed of travel or range, etc. There is no air in space, so the vacuum does not cause drag on.... meh, whatever dude stfu, quit your cryin.

No, this is not a crying post, just saying there needs to be much more similar time-frame for damage landing on targets. Or my impression is some are instant and others take much longer to land on the target. I could be wrong.

If you want "continuous acceleration" or "hit scan missiles" there's a reason we dont have that, in the first case its called "the hamsters would go on strike and/or explode" and the second case its called "we have them they are called guns".

If that is not what you meant, then please learn how to words.

What tradeoffs are you going to offer?


Always hit, although potentially debatable, would be the big grey elephant into room that need discussion for sure.


Don't say tracking....ccp was eyeing this and dropped it. We can assume they had reasons for it. Probably people like me who like applied damage and ROF I could sacrifice if "tracking mods" for missiles panned out to desired effect. Reason being I will take more crushing hits that come not as fast over just firing wildly and getting money shots with less frequency.

And in the many missile debates other components of the damage calc have been discussed (and flamed) many times.

All missiles have travel time. The mordu ships have a bonus that means that at brawling range they are usually same tick. This isn't inherent to any missile type.
