Hi

Lots of messages on here regarding Mac issues, so I only thought it right to redress the balance somewhat. I got a new Macbook Pro, 13 inch, cheapest one, and I've got to say that Eve is running great on it under OS X. Stability has been fine, and performance is a definite boost from the desktop I was using previously (Dual opteron 244 from 2005, graphics card about to slip off min requirements list).

I don't use CQ, but with comparable settings, I went from about 3fps to about 20. First thing I don on any Eve install is turn all the graphics settings to the lowest possible level. Perhaps I could afford to turn some up now, but I probably won't bother trying.

Hope everyone else gets their issues resolved!

I'd love to know what settings you ultimately ended up with. When running Eve on my laptop, everything performs great, even with the settings maxed to the best possible...

However, when I plug it into my 30" Apple Cinema Display, I can't get get consistency of frame rate, even when I have the 30" set to the exact same resolution as the laptop's display (1280x800).

I ran Eve last night with medium settings at 1600x1000 and everything was running smoothly at about 20fps, but today it's dropped down to about 5fps (and not running any other applications)

I wonder if the patch released today had anything to do with it...
