Time after time this faulty software malfunction, doesnt load, starts in offline mode, or whatever.

its a pain in the ass, and usually involves repair, or reinstall or something else.

It`s a piece of crap software and needs to go or at least give us an option to bypass this as we had before.



EDIT:

Aparently it got stopped by my firewall this time around, short fix, shut down firwall and it loads. even dough the launcher and exe is cleared..

Same problem twice today.

CCP stop the expansions and work on this useless launcher please..

Yes here we go again... only problem with latest update is the launcher. It worked on one computer, after a few restarts on another one and the third one... not so much. It just stops downloading at 66kb even after a number of restarts. Maybe reinstall the game will be the option.

Same antivirus, same router, same ISP, same OS (w7 64) on all three computers... Since more than half a year, the connection issues has been there almost every time I start the launcher, and also completely random. I see no pattern and it's not the same computer having problems, that part is random too.

CCP, you tend to blame everything from ISP's to our computers, but at some point there is only this option left: that you have built something into the launcher that is either very unforgiving, too complex or maybe too sensitive. And for a stupid user like me, it's very difficult to understand why an utterly simple piece of software like a launcher is causing so much trouble for so many users, while the game itself and a number of other programs, games and clients are running just fine all the time.

Please fix it... please... I'm so fed up with it!

I too am having abysmal service with the launcher.

Mostly, it will actually freeze up around 60mb for a minute or two, then work. This latest patch it got up to 77.3mb downloaded, and then just completely froze. The pe rcentages kept going up by 0.1% every minute, but the mbs weren't changing.

I cant play the game at the moment.

I tried the repair tool and it downloaded the patch stuff, then failed, then I tried it again and it said completed after 13 seconds, and now the launcher is stuck at 0.0B downloaded and still unable to get in game.

So I restarted the computer, it says client is ready, but now I'm stuck at the login complete screen, with a black background and a blue bar running back and forth, as a moving circle in the bottom left says resources loading.

I was able to take a shower and come back, and its still doing this. I'd hate to have to reload the entire client. That's about 2 days worth of time, and even then only if the internet service isnt interrupted or slowed down. The only available service is 768k/128k, so no, I cant change services.

It seems like actually getting eve to work is the biggest challenge of eve so far.

People talk about how eve is better than WoW. I still get one shotted undocking in a frigate if there's a WT thrasher outside. It looks eerily similar to getting one shotted in WoW battlegrounds by a x9 level player when you're x1-4 levels.

Joy, I can play again. I lost 5-10 gb of game information, so Im currently flying through black space with 3 dots of light indicating my pod/ship, but I can "play".

Would'nt it be nice to have a launcher like WoW where you do not need to log out to select an alternative character to play on.

I came to look for this thread and to say this: **** you CCP.

The launcher got stuck at 99.99% for hours, I attempted to restart it and now it constantly in "not responding" state every time I launch it. Searched for alternate patch download and found out it isn't offered anymore. I'm not going to bother waiting for your ****** client to autorepair for hours and just letting this game go.

Seriously, **** you.

So, Today I get a mail from CCP offering me a deal to get my old characters back online .. (very funny CCP) at least my mails work.

How about you respond to my mails and support tickets and bug reports to find a solution as to why my launcher is still not working even after 9 days of trying . ??????

Then that way I can at least use the characters I have got, paid to date before deciding whether to bio everything or not.. ....

Really not happy with this.

Please fix your launcher v.2.2.878305 It Takes 5 - 6 trys before the yellow bar comes up it sits there and sits there and sits doing nothing ??????

I often find the launcher stops with a grey bar or half-loaded background and have to restart it. It is rather annoying.

ETA: I never used to; this is a recent development.

Never a good thing when it gets treated like a virus or keylogger by the antivirus or firewall.
