What would the ideal ship be for cosmos missions?

I have a friend willing to help me on the missions I can't do myself but he asked me if he should bring a pve tengu or a rattle or something else and I honestly have no idea

So those of you who know what is the best route?

Fit as much firepower as you can in. Most of the missions are delivery (and you can buy the items on contract), but the actual areas where you farm for those items range and the handful of missions from a a walk in the park to an absolute death zone. I was able to get through all the L1s and L2s in an assault frigate. I'd definitely recommend a marauder or pirate BS for the level 4s (even though there's only a few) as some of the NPCs have an absurd amount of tank that just takes too long to cut through with anything smaller.

Just on the marauder recommendation - Marauders don't do amazing damage (just in line with tech 1 battleships), their strength is being damn near indestructible (with links and boosters, my PVP Kronos can tank a sieged dreadnought if the dread pilot is very low skilled, and it can certainly tank any five subcapital ships as long as its cap boosters remain).


You should tailor your fleet to each of the missions as some of these are deathtraps.

marauders can fit for max damage, and usually get an extra application bonus, where a t1 bs will need a bunch of mods for whatever.

as for the COSMOS missions, there are many, many it depends. I remember different complexes being sized locked, and some are much more difficult than others. Although it has been a long time since I have done cosmos so they may have unlocked the gates.

A pve tengu is a pretty good bet. the speed/sig tank and high resists work in most cosmos plexs. and it can get into most plexs

a maraduer is another good idea, ewar immune and can massively over tank if you need to without going too pimp.

The last time I ran through them I used a Prorator, Bestower, Ishkur, Vigilant and Legion. I did lose a few ships including a Legion, but came out of it with much more in the wallet than I lost.

I should mention though, it's been years since I last did them all. I only do select courier COSMOS missions now in order to quickly boost standing when I need to.
