Naglfar (Nakk-Far, iirc)

Scimitar (soft c, not a k. like in Science.)

Svipul. (s vi pul with a soft t sound at the end)

Nugoeihuvi (uhhhhh. NOH. That's it. )

Woo! CSM XI!

Alebrelle you are airing our extremely dirty laundry in public!

Personally I can't stand when people pronounce the G in Gnosis. It's not "Ga-noss-is" you philistines! Learn some basic Greek roots!

phenetically ... for me ... Quaff (no 'ey' on the end, and a lingering f, not a quick F, ... like faff) Actual Qu from Quack, and ff from faff.

Galente, ... Gal from Gallant, ent from tent, thus 'lent' from lent, and 'ey' to round it off. Thus: Ga-lent-ey

While we're at it...

Do you pronounce it GEE-tah, or Jeh-ta? I use the former, while I've noticed most people on comms that hail from Europe and surrounding areas tend to pronounce it in the latter format.

It's actually a composite of three words:

Nug - Play
Oei - Relax
Huvi - Enjoy

Once you break it down it's much easier to pronounce!

[nugg][oay][huuvee]

Deffinitly Jita.

On the EE thing ... everyone mispronounces my name too ... they seem to think it should sound 'Leejah' ... if it was meant to sound like leejah, I would have typed Leejah . lol.

"its G for Gnome" came to mind there..

An official CCP dictionary would be a great resource. I thought POS was pronounced by the letters until I heard it pronounced as a word.

OP Alebrelle Kuatu: How do you pronounce your name?

I pronounce Quafe as "Kwayf."

Where did I learn to pronounce it that way? Well, from Clear Skies 1 of course! Blink

Nakk-Far is incredibly eye opening, thanks!

And I'm not good at Norse stuff, but wouldn't Nugoelhuvi end up blending a lot of that and end up similar to Nohlg-Vi?

Not sure if I would trust CCP for pronunciation advice since all the CCP employees that said the word Chimera at the last Fanfest pronounced it wrong.
