Hyenas for tackle?

Is tackling with a Hyena, long point and webs, a thing? Can it survive kiting at the mid 30's range that boosts will allow?

Unless it is targeted by drones, why not? But Keres has bonuses for point range... Solo they will hardly make any good, IMHO, but I may be totaly wrong here. I have heard, that Hyena & Sentinel can be a deadly combo.

Personally I wouldn't (which doesn't mean you can't), Hyenas are excellent support ships for a small gang but fragile at the best of times.

I was thinking for small gang. Few of these for tackle and something longer range for dps.

Just make sure your best pilots are in the Hyenas then. It will be a pretty regular thing for them to have to warp out and back.

Example small gang:
Links
Ceptor
Keres
2x Hyenas
3-4x DPS (Nomen, Orthrus, T3Ds, etc.) If you bring at least 1 T3D it can be your combat prober as well. If you are going to try to use BCs make sure they are snaked.

I love having a Hyena present when camping a gate. They excel at ensuring targets can't crash gate where a Keres can't. One reason I prefer the Hyena over Keres in the long tackle role. That said they're squishy... so ensure the pilot flying your Hyena is smart enough to not get tackled and to warp off when he needs to.

Hyena is amazing for tackle, the long double webs and solid speed from being a frigate make it very dangerous to kiters which are prevelant in todays metagame. You need to have a good pilot behind that Hyena though, just screaming in for tackle against kiters will get you killed, you need to hold them down for just enough time so that a friendly can get hard tackle before you pop assuming you're under alot of pressure (which you will be).

Huginn seems the obvious upgrade but does it scale up like that? Can a Huginn do the same thing on a cruiser level?
