Hello fellow players. I have just been shocked to notice another payment has just been charged via a notification from paypal. Now I may get this confused with a different website but was it not Eve where if you paid with paypal it would not do the recurring payment scheme and to do that you had to use your bank details?

Answers would be appreciated.

Edit: I have filed with paypal an un-authorized payment dispute but if I got this wrong I need to cancel it.

Was hoping a paypal user could just say "yes, it has been changed more recently".. because I swear it has.

But I will take your advice if nobody can say that sharpish. If I don't have a case it means game time is going to waste.

Yeah this paypal thing it seems a bit more like it's made for dodgier situations, might look harsh for the company, though if I am right I never seen any update news reflecting the change which seems a bit not right.

I was shocked that they stopped levelling up skills when account is not active. It's thinking about that that's stopping me from just thinking I will jump online anyway and grab a plex for my real life brother.

Oh. I didn't realize this was the case. A while ago I started making my accounts not auto-renew, for the opportunity to leave my biggest gripe in the form of a recurring cancellation reason each renewal. I also wanted to stop skewing CCP's statistics with auto-renew accounts... they are very much on constant notice to keep producing a good game. "One year at a time" is what I close my cancellation reason with.

Chances are I'm going to renew most of my accounts, but I manage their expirations manually. I try to keep annuals hitting one per month.

I suggest players start doing that, with iOS apps like Neocom, and EVEmon. Account expiration is displayed prominently in those programs, Neocom especially like so. The date is highlighted in green, and becomes red as the expiration approaches.

Linking your account(s) to amazon will allow for one time subscriptions using the same pricing as CCP.

Why would they need to announce it if they put the warning there? Can't you read before agreeing to a payment term?

Chance are many people would also not read the announcement so vOv.

Which is why my point of view is pretty much If you didn't read it and got burn, cry yourself a river and get over it. Swim across if if needed, water can be good for soothing burning pain.
