Can skills be changed out of game?

My GTX 285 video card died 3 days ago and it'll be a few days before I can get another one. :(

I completely agree. I mean that way you never actually have to PLAY the game to play it!!

Log in on another computer (Friend /Relative), set up long skill training queue.

Course they'll have to download Eve and with a personal demonstration by you, you've got a good way to get people you know into playing Eve, especially with the 60 day trial account mentioned here.

Logging in for <1 minute to update skill queue hardly constitutes "playing."

Skill training, orders, basically anything you can do while docked has dreamed about to do out of client for a long time now.

Maybe one day CCP will have the ability to do that.

They probably have the ability, they just havent reached an consensus if its an good idea overall. Cool

I doubt that. More like they want to determine how much they want to tackle at one time. Such as system is not going to be easy to make at all and will likely require CCP making a separate program or fully through EVEgate.

need a lite client that can be run on many devices including tablet.

would not be able to undock but could manage skills and other staton based activities.

would count as logging in therefore keep CCP happy (login stats)

not sure how would work if logged off in space

It's not "alot". It's not "allot". It's "a lot". Two words.

Congratulations. You just levelled up in real life.

Or even an OnLive type web portal into the game through CCP by using the EVE website. Splashtop allows me to control EVE remotely using an iPad so something more simple should be possible.

Personally, I think EVE GATE should allow full skill queue modification and the ability to read all mails from in game.

Full control from the website is not practical. Keep it realistic and stuff you do while docked. Nothing more.

You can read and compose mail from here. I don't know if I want my skills interactable on a website though.

No but I have seen videos of these "wow on Ipad" type network technologies.

And then you have Onlive which runs a center full of extremely pricy hardware serving partially compressed gameplay to users who half or more have bandwidth limits.

CCP does not have the resources to do that kind of stuff. And likely never will. We need to settle for doing stuff we normally do while docked.

That already is a game changer. We don't need anything more anyway. Ask onlive to put EVE on it if you want to remote play that badly.

Can't you pull the dead card and run on builtin graphics on your mobo. Might not be good enough to play the game in space but it should allow you to log in and change skills.
