I currently am running 16 planets (13 Extractors 3 Factory) in a C6 but, I don't think i'm getting the most out of it. I'm making Organic Mortar Applicators but thinking about switching solely to Robotics. My first question is how much P0 should I be extracting per hour if I reset my cycles every day? Currently i'm between 30k-40k per hour but I was talking to someone and they said they were doing over 100k/hr.

Secondly, am I missing something or is the extra step to make Organic Mortar App's not worth it? the P0 extracted to isk ratio is the same and OMA's take up significantly more cargo space. If I were to focus on Robotics I think I would make the same Isk with less effort.

This is a picture of my typical extractor planet setup. Which leads me back to my initial question. Am I getting the most out of my extractors?

I really wish there were good third party tools available that could answer your questions, but as far as I know, there aren't. I'll watch this thread for a while in hopes there is something out there I'm not aware of.

It looks like your area is depleted. Are there any hot spots on your planet you can take advantage of?

I move the scanner bar until white spots start appearing on the planet and position my heads in the most lucrative spot. I will try to find a few hot spots located close together and spread the extractor heads amongst them. Cycling every day you may deplete the area quickly. When the extraction rate drops too low start looking for a new hot spot to reposition the extractor.

Lower level Px is frequently more profitable and the demand for the product may be more consistent. The PI profit and market history links at Fuzzworks can help you decide what to build.

Robotics to OMA does increase the profit slightly. I did some napkin math on buy orders, 6 x 65k + 6 x 40k + 40 x 175 = 637000 isk. OMA sells for 750000 on a good day. Safe bet is 700 000.

Now the work involved to get to OMA is a bit more extensive, Depending on what planets you have available, you might be better off to focus on robotics and increase hourly output on those in stead of trying to gather the materials for condensates and bacteria.

Maybe this will help:

My system has a limited amount of metals, so my output for robotics is limited to about 8-10 procesors/hour, with my remaining planets I tried to fill in the other side of the equation to make OMA, but I couldn't get close to the same amount of condensate production with 4 characters, so I made some OMA.

What I found surprising is that the m3 increases when you combine the materials, I think its was +20m3, not sure, but its more. So I decided the extra hassle to make OMA is not worth it to "ME". Your mileage may vary.
