Access Difficulty Bonus Modifier

Hi all,

i tried the "Memetic Algorithm Bank" and the "Emission Scope Sharpener" both of those have an Attribute called "Access Difficulty Bonus Modifier". (20% for T1 and 40% for T2)

Can someone explain me how this modifier works exactly? (And yes i know what Virus Coherence is and that you get a bonus on that too.)

That bonus is a throwback to the old system, when hacking was more like salvaging is today. Each ccan had an access difficulty and you rolled against it until the can opened. Last I checked some COSMOS cans still used the old system so the bonus was left intact.

You know how when you salvage things you sometimes get a message like "You failed to access the wreck" and it cycles again? That used to be the case with analysers too - they just haven't removed it since putting in the hacking minigame.
