My Circadian Seeker Sleeper Phenomena Study

The noted passive cloak could be a byproduct of metamaterials. This would explain the passive cloaking nature on all wavelengths, including in system radio pickups for communications. Notably, the structure of a metamaterial could be disrupted by certain radiation emissions, either out of their cloaking band or by ionizing forms.

Its plausible that their coating reacted poorly to the superluminal collapse of Caroline's star and the unknown particles that decayed into the visible phenomena. This would explain their still nominally cloaked effect as the material is not completely failed, but we are now seeing he edges of the material.

If we could collect some samples of this material, we could start plating hulls in it. My personal recommendation would be to coat the Combat Recon cruiser class, due to their near frontline mission profile for hit and runs, but lack of ability to utilize a covert ops cloak system.

Effective application of this material, could replicate the D-Scan immunity that is noted amongst the structure and sleepers. The tactical applications of this are limitless!

Seems like a notable suggestion. Though, we shouldn't limit ourselves with such technological advances at hand. Scanner Immunity could benefit many a roles.

I recently attacked a Circadian Sleeper today with a Velator. It did no return fire however and warped off. After trying to locate the scout I noticed my local comm channel was littered with the following messages. Probably mosty likely Circadian Sleeper's conducting a core dump of their data collection systems. Maybe it's a their method of communication.

..It's almost like they're scanning everything in some sort of massive reconnaissance operation, finding out our strengths and weaknesses. If you stay too long near

them, they'll scan you too. OMG, they are learning everything about us!

The exchange of information seemed to also be scanning the local markets through my Velator's market computer for Strategic Cruiser components as well. Perhaps some semblance of the vanquished Sleeper ships and their salvage still remain within the hulls of the Strat-Cruisers.

Maybe the Circadian Scouts are automated and have come through the Wormhole following our communications signals and our warp signatures wondering what happened to their brethren that are now laid as the hull of ships. Could they be gathering material for a large central command to operate from? It seems like their over all programming is protect, salvage and build or repair without any concern for the living inside of the hull they are salvaging.

Perhaps they are here to reclaim sovereignty of New Eden that was their a hundred million years before explorers from Earth came through the Gate into their Garden and see us as insects that must be removed in order to keep the garden...clean.

Warning, these notes are raw as hell.

The Circadian Seeker Sleepers are now hostile, as of Proteus. They are resistant to Thermal for armor. Orbit at 10km. 2 attacks per unit, 1 unknown weapon and one Praedormitan Missile. Attack speed at 1,210 m/s. Will only fire if fired upon first, then the gloves are off. Capable of summoning reinforcements. Tanking their damage is quite possible, but a strong Navy Drake pve was used to attack seekers. They have a tendency to miss every 1 out of 8 shots and hits are pretty steady, very low damage range.

With multiple capsuleers, the seekers refused to change target, even after the capsuleer opened fire on the seekers. Instead, drones sent to attack the seekers repeatedly changed targets without anyone's consent. This problem seemed to be solved once we focused attacks on the same target, but the seekers continued to only attack the first target (me). My partner in this combat research used a Navy Harbinger and came in to help finish off the 6 of 9 seekers.

Reiterating, they only attack when first fired upon. Firing on their structure neither summons them to the structure (at least in a timely manner) nor causes them to attack. They just don't care, but why would they when they know I'm doing no damage? After defeat of the 9 seekers, the Harbinger pilot salvaged the wrecks. Wrecks held no loot and salvage produced metal scraps, if at all. After a full half hour, the seekers did not return.

The Circadians attack people now? There are reports of podding capsuleers, so they follow a "scorched earth" policy. Heh, Earth... yea, this is terrifying.

Just so you know, I've already got NPC stats for Circadian Seekers in this post.

So far, they'll only attack you and your pod, if you attack first.

Now on test server, a change in 'seeker' behaviour...this is seen in systems that have a new structure...'unidentified wormhole'.( Ideawhich appears to be a sleepers made wormhole...perhaps they way we will start to build our own gates)

behaviour change as follows....Attention.the 'seekers' will now attack without being attackedAttention. They do the same damage...after a while a 2nd reinforcement spawn turns up, does the same damage but has much higher resists. The seeker spawns still follow you around the system but don't seem to use our gates, so to live you can leave system (for now). The other change is the presence of a new sleeper/jove Battleship ...again seems to be tied to the new wormholes.Shocked

This is very creepy.

I was mining in Gallente Space, Essence region in the Meysybier System, and I saw 3 Circardian Seekers shooting missiles at a Warrior II drone. Is this normal, or what?

Perhaps the owner of the warrior II had been shooting them, they were kicking his teeth in so he left it behind and they switched to it as it was also shooting them.

I encountered these drones while mining in a procurer, in Hahda two days ago. Not knowing, nor reading about them prior, I did what I often should not, I targeted and sent in my drones. I assumed they were any other belt rat. I should have known better, they were no more than 12 km from me and had failed to target me first.

The moment I did, they tore a drone apart and the three of them hit me for all my shields and half my armor.

I ran to station at 0, and paused to survey the damage, less than 20 seconds later, they warped to station and began to target me again. I docked.

On my return later, 5 minutes perhaps, in a venture to see if any drones remained, I returned to the same belt, scoped them up and began to mine. Minutes later, they returned. I waited... did not target, put drones in bay, and watched them scan the belt, and me, without hostile intent.

∴ "Virtus junxit, mors non separabit", I am but a traveling man...

I spotted one of the Jove Towers in Amattens (Everyshore Region) and decided to take a look, as I approached the tower the Seekers showed up, 6 at first, and I decided to shoot at a couple to see if they had started to drop any loot. After destroying the original 6 and 3 reinforcements one of them dropped 1 Antikythera Element, which is useless as far as I can tell.

Description of the Antikythera Element:

Limited information is available on this object.

A direct analysis reveals some vague and distorted results.
Slight external damage signals that it was detached from something else, but despite its removal, the core structure continues to thrum with a deep, surging power.

Even without proof or solid knowledge of the function of this component, it is quite clear that it forms a vital part of something much larger.
