That is it damn good son.

FINALLY!!! A shield ship thats slower than an armor ship of the same class.

Went from the faction frigates worst nightmare to the laughing stock of the fleet.

Anyway.

The power-grid nerf to both the confessor and svipul are just to much honestly 19 on the svipul giving it a base of 59 A tech 1 frigate the incursus for example has 45 base wow 14 more pg in a ship thats below the class what a joke while the thrasher for example a t1 destroyer has 70 base pg. The thing that i believe made t3 dessys fun was the 10mn afterburner + sheild booster or med extender made it fun to fit fun to fly it (was) fast. still inst bad with a mwd but whats to stop a dude in a slower inty with a scram bonus to run from me. Here we have an actual ship that can chase these fast guys and sometimes kill them. That you guys did an awesome job doing an initial stat balance on just to take a dump on it. Rebalancing and nerfing the snot out of something are different.

I'm no physicist but when something gets lighter it gets easier to maneuver and goes faster not the other way around.

bottom line it has the fitting capabilities of a t1 frigate and moves like a cruiser. with the tank of a destroyer with no bonuses. its a t3 not a t1 thrasher with no fitting abilities.

All i ask is for some pg and some speed to make it at-least competitive with other ships.

Latest builds are coming along like the dual nuets etc are awkward to fit.

The t3 destroyers have 9 turrets worth of damage, same as before IIRC, the Incursus has 3.75. The Thrasher has 8.75. When you actually look at the ships as a whole you see the PG alone is meaningless to compare.

Also fitting a prop mod fixes your relative speed issue.

If you think the pre nerf Svipul was a well balanced ship, you are completely clueless and should biomass your character. Looking at your killboard you haven't ever lost a Svipul so I don't see how you're the authority on Svipul balance. As Tyberius says, comparing raw PG stats is meaningless because of slot layout/bonuses.

The Svipul is still a very good ship and in speed mode it is as fast as a T1 combat frigate and faster than any AF/Dessie/Dictor. Only inties/faction frigs/t1 inties are faster and that's how it should be. Previously it had almost Cruiser firepower, high end frigate speed, insane tank and enough fitting to fit oversized prop which made it unscrammable and extremely dangerous to larger ships. As for 'nerf darts', it has the same dps as before so I have no idea what you're talking about.

I hope you are aware that svipul remains rather unchanged on the top of the food chain.
As a sekret tip: Fit a svipul with mwd and 280s instead of ACs. Suddenly you don't have to move to 500m ontop of them, you can blap ceptors at 35km.

Svipul lost like 0 pg (it lost a bit, but way less then what it appears to have lost) in reality, due to having to fit less guns.

Reason ive never lost a svipul is because the particular fit ive used took months to make and does (did) extremely well in a wide variety situations.

but yes it has the dps as before but i guess i just overreacted abit because it took me so long to do my fit now i have to engineer a new one. I miss it being bad fast. I normally fly a deimos which (armor) is slow as hell ~2500 so flying something that fast was a blast but meh. Its a t3 its supposed to be bosslike why else would i waste all that time training and building a fit for it.

10mn's i felt made the t3 destroyes apart from alot of other ships a unique thing i guess. Im not an ab pilot if it doesnt do atleast 2k i dont want a part in it.

As far as blapping inties at 35k according to The angular formula V=wR w=angular/transversal velocity. i cant see that working but ive never used the arties before because they cant hit **** alphas dank but what do when you cant hit anything.

UPDATE: ran 280s on it what the hell is this sorcery. using quake at 11~15k with a tracking comp in tracking mode i was nailing a malediction for god knows what but i actually hit him (shocking i know) he was orbiting me at about 15k doing around 3500.

Heres me a gallente pilot who is used to blasters. And autocannons that hit almost always in close range. so the svipul is a whole new ballgame for me after spending alot of time understanding how it works and doing well with it for it to get changed all up like that just irritates me. i was the same way with bombers too :p

Arty svipul is amazing, its like a arty thrasher on steroids. Problem is that you need to let the ship "cool" off a bit first untill people no longer think they are totally overpowered and hence only engage if they have a trap/backup/are counterfit,

svipul is still OP, it still takes on HAC's... Lol

Been around since the beginning.
