Anyone rather use it than old map?
Was it a complete waste of time?
Will you use it or just keep using old map?

The new map is way better then the old map.

Sure, there are a few things that should be improved in the new map, but if that's done, I don't see why I would ever want to use the old map again.

The new map is great for everything else than scanning/probing.

I'm my own NPC alt.

I love the new map from day 1 , only issue i noticed (apart from the missing statistics which are being added at a fast rate) was that i couldn'T figure out the AU distance of celestials in my current system. This was before the patch hit, might have been fixed already - didn't check yet.

Looking for a group to pew with ? Have a chat with me.

The new map is simply beautiful and can use while on the fly while seeing where im going, the whole zoom in and zoom out funtion is great for tactical movement and bookmarking.
Although im not keen on the statistics side of it, it feels slow and the bar disappears for when I want to click on what statistics I want to use.
Other than that I think its great and just takes some time getting used too like everything else that changes.

Personally I like that jump bridges my alliance own show up on the new map. I think it helps visualizing the system connections a whole lot better than dotlans. As for scanning, if they could have a lock in system view for probing I think people wouldn't have such a hard time.

This. I'm currently using the new one for navigation, but for scanning, old map all the way.

A few things I've noticed while scanning:

-If you get a 2-point hit, the new map does not seem to reliably show both result points. This has occasionally lead to me staring, confused, as I get 0% results, until I switch to the old map and, oh, now it makes sense.

-Dragging the probe location around on the new map is a pain in the ass. Even when it's plainly highlighted, I often fail to "grab" the navcube in the new map. Finding the resize point on the perimeter of a probe bubble is similarly less reliable.

-Some of this seems to be caused by the fact that it's absolutely inundated with icons. I realize you can turn them off, but this seems to also remove them from the tooltip popups, which I don't actually want.

It's slow and buggy as hell for scanning, doesn't even seem to filter scan results reliably.

For the star map I'm using the new one, for solar system map though the old one is far superior. I wouldn't mind if they kept a separate solar system map as it is actually quite useful being able to use both at the same time.

Dido. Though I have not used it much it seems sluggish and frustrating to use for scanning. Unless it can be placed behind the rest of the UI it also seems to offer less of an ability to react when time is of the essence.

A significant lack of word "the".

Anyhow, new map shiny.
Not yet probing.
Maybe eventually.

It's a tool and as such I'm looking for functionality and instant information without delay or silliness, not bling bling. I'm not a fan of it.
