Sorry for having to repeat myself - the new icon is just fine and it represents "Hope".

Looking for a group to pew with ? Have a chat with me.

I give +1 here for the new Icon.

It is like painting your home walls from time to time.
It is not one cent more functional than before, but being different gives a new taste.

People buy things they don´t need, with money they don´t have, to impress people they don´t like !

The new one is better, now it looks like it is actually some module/system of the ship, not some dude running around using his medbag to apply bandaids to the ship parts
Next you're going to tell me my armour isn't actually repaired by some dude running around in a welding mask?

Who put the goat in there?

It's not so much that I hate the new one, it's just the old one is a significant piece of history. And it's not like it was too similar to other icons or anything, so why change it?

They can give it out as a USB hub in the third decade collector's edition, or you can hope.

Oh... I didn't know... I'm so sorry!
I have some disturbing news about those guys you thought were running around your ship dressed in medieval plate armour.

Who put the goat in there?

The new icon is an improvement. I would have liked a less vibrant shade of blue, but still an improvement. Here's to hoping they do the same for armor rep icons.

after another 10 years this new DCU icon will be an iconic and a significant piece of history as well, so don't worry. Lol

My guess is they are re-doing all the icons to fit "better" in the new interface look and they decided to test their hands on one they can be sure a lot of people use. Then they see how people react to it and can push the changes for the other icons following the feedback.

When I first saw the icon, I thought it was a broken image icon. Seriously, you have to squint to just see what it is because the color is just too bright. Only reason I knew what it was is because I memorized where my damage control was at on my hud.

That and the welding mask ofc.

I think that it looks pretty cool, but it might be a little misleading for newbies who might think that it functions as an active rep.
