Off the beaten track: which less-used ships did you successfully use?

I am bored and am thinking about running combat sites. However, I'd like to try a ship which is less commonly used. Could you share your fit and how you used it? Thanks!

I bought and fit a Skiff once to run combat sites with. Turns out they are not allowed through the gates.

I used a punisher once, on a fresh alt (1 day old) to clear a Sansha's 3/10 complex.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

I saw a Heron doing this once. He made it to the second to last room of a Guristas 3/10, I was surprised. Then I "stole" the site.

My Alt is usually using amarr missile HACs and since i wasnt far away in training i decided to run some in a Pilgrim. Matter of fact: worst decision ever. Yes it is a drone boat but so what of paper skinned that i really had troubles to get along.

top guns and drone link
med AB plus drone enhancers plus cap recharge plus target painter

low armor resist, repair, dc, and drone damage

If you want to have a stress time in surviving, this ship is the choice :)

This is the part of the sandbox which i don't like, forbidden hulls at entry gates. If i want to do DED 2 in small guns Rokh, let me. Raven in DED1? Why not? Do i do it faster? Ofc not but it is the ship i choose/want to fly. The argument that hisec DEDs should be for newbros is wrong. They are being farmed by older players who knows where are the triggers in them. New pilots have zero chance to compete.

I think i will try new caldari D3 for them. It will be fun to do DED4 in it.

When I first started experimenting with Guristas highsec DEDs I started out doing 1/10s and 2/10s in a Tristan, then I thought hmm, maybe 3/10s are doable and turns out they are. So I decided to take it to 4/10s and turns out yes, a Tristan can actually complete Guristas 4/10s solo lol. It's not efficient at all but it's good fun, most people didn't believe me that it was possible. In fact 3/10s are much harder on the Tristan than 4/10s are because 3/10s are basically a giant horde of frigates.
