Downloading EvE launcher update

Tried to comply with: http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/required-launcher-update-please-update-your-eve-online-launcher/

Sadly this 'error' appears at the bottom of the launcher:
Downloading EvE Launcher update


No change, over an hour.

Tried the repair tool--- downloads 22M of something claims to be fixed and issue repeats itself.
Tried restarts, tried using the bin exe file--reclogging after a successful login and still borked.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have a problem with my launcher since the update - says unable to connect, as if no internet access. I can get in using the exe file. Have done the repair tool, and right now the launcher is now downloading 7.16GB of updates.

I'm pretty disgusted with the launcher at this point---another day home from work, another day I can't connect. This is garbage.

edit: This showed up as a debug file in CCP>EVE>Launcher folder

[0427/182137:ERROR:backend_impl.cc(2139)] Corrupt Index file

Same issue.

1) Open launcher
2) The status bar at the lower left toggles quickly between "Downloading EVE Launcher update" and "Installing files"

Upon closing and then re-opening the launcher it will quickly crash. Starting it again after the crash and it just begins doing #2 again.

Least u guys have something happening. My launcher doesn't even do anything. Just says Client is ready.

Update: Running the launcher as Admin made the update happen but the version number didn't change

I discourage running with scissors.

2 days now and I still cannot get my launcher to update and the exe will not work for me. I have this type of problem everytime CCP breaks the launcher.. I am really sick of this and paying for accounts I cannot use...

Although all the other launcher downloads on the forums didnt work.. after deleting the laancher completely and installing below it seems to have worked..

At least with this after the download although you cant use the launcher you can get into game using the .exe file in bin location.


One day we may get a resolution that works !!!! (wishful thinking)
