Eve needs a lottery. For 1 million ISK you get a lottery ticket and just like the real lottery have drawings twice a week. But the odds of winning should be way less for 50k players. And the jackpot gets bigger and bigger when no one wins.

You can give the captains courters more life and watch the drawings. But the ball machine should be something space-like.

and unless chribba is backing it i will never be involved with any of them...

I have done raffles and the Warp To Me NRF game which is effectively betting on the random spawn in an NRF site...

Lotteries have been with us for years why should CCP have to waste time and effort on a service players are more than happy to provide?

Confirming that this is best kept to 3rd parties.

Confirming that in game communities and entities should be allowed to run their own, as they already do.

Denouncing the pants on head, by one leg, idea that CCP should run a lotto inside eve (unless they intend to use it as an isk sink, with a 75-90% payback rate)

I.... I remember your threads. And those are not good memories.
Also, what everybody else said, lotteries already exists in EVE, run by players. Since that works fine, no need to change that

fill_in_blob wins a few of them

bulk of people don't know how stats work and while an oddity....fill_in_blob wining 3/10 lotteries is possible

cries of fill_in_blob alliance devs run rampant.

We have the independents that work this fine. Skips this whole mess for CCP.
