The Capsule - Genolution 'Auroral' 197-variant removal

CCP, can you explain what's going to happen to the implant item itself.

It was part of a collectors edittion and some people are holding it for a later date, to make isk of it or just don't know what do with it for now.

Is the item just going to be removed?
are we getting a SKIN for it?
Will it still take an implant slot? ( be honest, the implant slot is kind of cool)


Please some more info for an item that people payed real money for!

Seems that if you have an implant, whether in a slot (eg. like a currently skinned ship) or in your hangar, it will eventually be replaced by a blueprint.

Or you'll just receive a SKIN like you will be for other ships- you'd apply it like the rest of them :P

You're taking away the fact its a rare ship and putting it on the market for all the poors to get their sweaty little mitts on it.

Some people payed billions of ISK for theirs so they could own and fly a rare ship. As a collector this saddens me. Next you will make the Raven State Issue a skin.

no, market means thats the only place to get it. The people who owned it before can sell the skin for whatever they want. the skin is not a loot drop, lp store, or in the NES. That is all that line means.

it also means you can put that skin on every scorp you fly and never lose it. but it will still be rare, because if say there are only 10 skins in existence, there will still only be 10 skins in existence. The difference however, is AFAIK (esp right now) once applied the license can not be removed to be resold. So if you wan to fly yours, there will now be 9 skins that can be sold.

So it will become rarer

We are one step closer to my dream of Holiday Pods! Easter Egg decorated pods! Christmas tree ornament pods! ....whatever other widespread holiday that uses spherical objects in its decoration scheme themed pods!

I would love time limited easter egg pod SKINs btw..... and you all know you would too.

That is possible. However when they make the change i imagine a lot of people who use the skin now might decide to sell it.

And to answer your no doubt follow up question. Yes, SKINs are eventually going to be added to killmails. Which you could have found out on your own by searching for 5 minutes...
