How would one estimate how much value fully researching a ship (or anything really) BPO adds to the BP? Example: frigate BPOs cost roughly 2.5 million ISK on the market. How much (roughly) is a fully researched frigate BPO worth, and more importantly how does one arrive at that figure?

Just try it, and see what you can sell it for.

Generally your goal should be at least 1 million ISK per 24 hours of tying up a science line. Far better is possible.

I do it like this:
I will add research costs then I will add profit...let`s say I want to make 100k ISK per hour...this makes some estimated value which is then adjusted by going through similar contracts and comparing the prices.

I usually look up the blueprints on the contracts page to get an estimate for the sell price, calculate how long decent research take, crunch the numbers into an excel sheet and decide if it's worth it. That way I end up with a profit/month and a total profit for the BPO.

I do this for BPOs I intend to research and sell, not those I actually use.
