Greetings, fellow capsuleers!

I bring you glad tidings and good cheer and all that jazz. I trust you are all well, and I'm very interested in how your peers can help you be more well. Please pardon me for prying, but I have little better to do than twiddle my thumbs and entertain my curiosity. Questions abound!

What's your dream, friend? What made you take to the stars? What insipres you to keep pressing on?

What could people do to help you achieve your dreams? How much would it cost? How much manpower would it take? How long would it take if resources were not really an obstacle?

Tell me your story!

I would ... like to race again ... without the pain of knowing who ended the racing league.

Can you un-do that?

As far as my dream, its hard to say, I will say stories I heard about EM and UK inspired me while I was living in Annages To enter the RMS, with hopes of being part of one of their pilot's ships, but was found capsuleer capable so I worked towards flying with them, But EM fell apart 8 months after I graduated and UK I didn't really see myself fitting in. Inspiration comes from trying to be a better combat pilot. I don't really know how anyone could help me, its more me trying to improve myself which comes from within, money wouldn't really help aside from buying ships, which wouldn't cost that much, manpower not a lot other than my flight crews and as for how long, I really don't know how long it will take, if I ever actually hit my dream.

I want peace... everywhere! And love! And happiness!
What we need for this? No, not money, not firepower, and all it would cost, is for all these dumb pirates and warmongers to become finally SMARTER for a change. And get into Faith.

And also maybe to find a husband. No, I am not going to buy him, so, 0 isk. As for resources, I think I need to buy me a couple of new dresses.

I think the point of this thread is to see if people have any common dreams and maybe go forward with them together. I like it.

My dream used to be to unite the Sani Sabik sects. I even made the Sani Sabik alliance! But that dream turned into a nightmare!

My new dream and new goal is to live autonomously without capitalism!
Anyone else interested in not using isk anymore? I am! But just like the air we breathe we've become so accustomed to isk that even to do the simplest tasks we require to pay or get paid. Isk per hour! Isk per minute! Seconds! I just lost 0.00000000000001 isk by replying to this thread!

Sure isk is the problem? Seems like its more so what people will do for it being the problem than the isk itself...

Sorry, I don't mean to question your dream or anything, just trying to give food for thought.

I would like exactly to take away only the need for isk. Even if it is just for myself. I am not going on a crusade to tell people to stop using isk. That is why I said I dream to live autonomously without capitalism.

Thank you for your concern! Until I start my own thread, please continue to ask questions!

Humanitarian Communists movement offers home for the peaceful

Peace. Purpose. Prosperity.

Those are the 3 things I most looked for when I decided to give capsuleer life a try. And not just for me, I wanted all people to find these 3 things. No nation seemed to be having these same goals in mind, and it was unlikely that I could change them to my liking. If I wanted to find a nation where I would feel at home, I would have to create it myself. As a capsuleer, I would have the option to do so, therefor I took the chance to become one when it was offered to me.

Not long after obtaining my license, I found a company with policies that I was very comfortable with, and for a long time I felt at home there, something I knew I was lucky to find, as I had learned I am a bit of an oddball among capsuleers. Eventually though, those policies changed too much to my liking, and I felt like I was without a purpose and no longer contributed to something meaningful. It did not feel like home anymore. I did not want to be part of 'just a company' any longer.

For weeks, if not months, I searched for an organization to call my new home, but I could not find one. I came to the conclusion that, if there was one that suited my views, I could not find it. I would have to create my own home, my own nation. I would have to choose my own path, and see who I meet on it and who will follow.

For those that want to avoid the alleged condition known as capsuleer dementia, for those that seek peace, purpose and prosperity for all, for those that think everyone's share of the universe is the same size, for those that have grown tired of endless and needless bloodshed and profiting from death, for those that value the life of their crew and the crew of our enemies, for those trying to follow the Ida, for those rare capsuleers, my movement was created. I hope I'm not the only one.

Peace,

-Ché Biko

The above is the announcement of my movement, written years ago. I think I never published it before now, nor the capsuleer recruitment ad. I was the only capsuleer who lived according to my corporate charter. When it comes to leadership, I consider myself to be a good guide, but I think I lack the qualities needed to attract followers. My movement consisted of the dwindling number people who crewed and maintained our facilities and ships that undocked less and less often.
At the start of this year, I closed my corporation to pursue my dream in Origin. I think its people need my guidance. So far, I've provided less than I would like.
People help. They are my inspiration, my guide. Their ideas, passion, suffering, beauty.
But sometimes, it's not enough...not enough to keep me pressing on. Sometimes, I feel alone. Alien.

Apathy sets in. Why care for those who don't care for you. Especially when you think it's all meaningless anyway.
But then a Kohiko Sun offers some comfort to you, a stranger. And a Streya Jormagdnir gives you a small token of appreciation, to inspire you. Love eachother, every single one of you, even if that means loving someone you currently hate.
My current version of my dream would also require sacrifice of some concepts in our life that we have become almost entwined with: rights of ownership, centralized institutions, privacy, other traditions.
Ultimately, it would require every concious intelligent lifeform to end conflict.
Resources are not an obstacle, they way we attribute value to them is.

I dream of his dream falling apart like a decomposing pure tritanium bar under normal temperate planet atmospheric conditions.

But really, I already fulfilled my dream of roaming the sea of stars, me and my ship. Rest is about staying that way. I do not need any direct help, but having a network of acquaintances to feed me information that yield opportunities will be nice.

Also, some helping hands for when my Clan decides to leave that festering bog that is Skarkon II for some world in the Great Wildlands would be nice.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

My dream?
- For parents to always return to their children.
What made me take to the stars?
- Better to die and let your clones to serve the State, then rot in Federal prison.
What inspires me to keep pressing on?
- My duty and existence of enemy, that threats life in the State, civilization and humanity as a whole.

What could people do to help me achieve my dreams?
- Stop laying their lazy bums, stop being individualists and pursuing own interests, unite everyone and take down Gallente Federation and Sansha Nation for good.
How much would it cost?
- Any expense for this goal is reasonable. It must be fulfilled disregarding costs and losses.
How much manpower would it take?
- I believe the State only if united properly can accomplish this task by ourselves. Help of the Empire will be greatly appreciated, that will lessen casualties greatly and leave enemy no chance.
How long would it take if resources were not really an obstacle?
- If performed as a lightning war, probably a day be enough to cover core systems and dismantle hostile regime, probably about a week to cover all the systems to make sure Federal government isn't reemerging somewhere else. Add one or two more months for clearing up.

My dreams, and my visions are often the same. I've made these known but shall again...

I dream...
- of a day when humankind is free of slavery
- when our mortal mothers will know the sanctuary of peace
- when a greedy state feeds their people
- when an infighting republic respects their brethren's lives
- when an amoral federation finds responsibility
- when a corrupt empire, returns to its rightful place of Golden hope for humankind

I have a dream today...
When all the children, be they Caldari, Gallente, Minmatar and Amarr will be able to join hands and sing...
"Free at last... peace at last... Great God a-mighty... We are free at last."

This is my vision. Be bold pilots.

To answer some of your questions, it was the Republic Security Service that made me take to the stars, and there was little choice involved.

My dream once was to become wealthy and famous and live a luxurous life in the Federation. It was fulfilled, though in a distorted way that stripped it of most value, but I certainly got what I once asked for and more.

My dream once was that the entire cluster would become a place of peace, freedom and prosperity, that the united humanity would rise above its primal nature and surpass the Jovians. That dream cannot be achieved with the resources and tech currently available. One man tried, and now we have the Nation. Bad idea.

Now all I wish is to leave New Eden behind. Perhaps, one day we'll find the legendary Terra somewhere out there in unknown space, but probably not. Maybe this, too, can qualify as a dream.

Che, I don't agree with your movement or your dream. We need ownership rights and privacy. I'm sure you have a ton of dirty laundry as well as other things that you'd rather not share. Having every conscious living creature end conflict is also unnatural. We are all born wild but domesticated throughout our lives.

I do agree with how you feel about showing compassion though. I am also trying to show compassion to those I used to hate and still dislike. That said, if you, Streya or even Gwen need a shoulder to cry on. I'll be here at Crucifix!
