16mil SP Jr FC looking for big fights

I'm currently an FC in TEST, rather inactive at the moment since we haven't had a real brawl in USTZ since we moved out to Wicked Creek.

Don't get me wrong, TEST has been great to me, and I'm not looking to burn bridges at the moment. It's just that

- EVE is a game, and I am looking for certain things from it and

- I am not currently getting those things from TEST

Right now it's a lot of structure bashing and small-gang PVP, and I know the majority of people like those things and kind of want to take a break from PTSD of Catch, and I respect that.

But I really enjoyed the brawls we had with PL back in Catch. Supers and farming and bitterness aside, the hundred+ battles were the most fun I've ever had in my 2+ years of EVE. Just a matter of differing tastes.

Who I am:

- Play several hours every week, USTZ

- Just over 16mil SP on my main

- 5 characters

- Couple months' experience as an FC, leading everything from Durrmorant roams to the subcap arms of a couple structure bashes (no full stratops)

- Greatly prefer an auxiliary FC role (EWAR, Logi Anchor) in a large fleet. I'm the guy who brought Jihad Squad back from the grave (for two fleets), and it was just the sort of thing I enjoy doing. Have not tried bomber FC but have been told it'd be right up my alley

- (over 18)

I am looking for a group which

- Regularly takes part in bloc-level warfare (fights with 50+ people on each side, in something bigger than D3s, at least once a week)

- Has a relaxed atmosphere (TEST culture is just about right for me, so that should explain that)

- Is willing to take on an intermediate USTZ FC on his own terms (no paplinks, mandatory fleets, &c - this is a game, and I don't like being tryhard about it, though I respect those who do)

Am I SOL? TEST was my first nullsec group, and my time in EVE before Dreddit does not really count as time in EVE, so I have no idea what my options are. I'm inclined to think "nullsec power bloc", but there might be other things out there.

Again, TEST is great, and Dreddit is recruiting. I just happen to have different tastes when it comes to PVP. When we moved from Catch to Wicked Creek, and lost all our major USTZ opponents (ie stopped getting dumpstered by PL on the daily), I went from one of the most active Jr FCs to completely inactive at the alliance level. I've been jewing on an alt and playing Space Engineers and Red Alert 3 for over a month now, and I'm gonna start overstaying my welcome in the FC Jabber channel in a bit unless some magical USTZ opponent appears in Wicked Creek (unlikely).

I'm in no rush to pack my bags and burn bridges, but I will legitimately pursue any serious offers which match the above criteria.

If you send me an in-game message, please please please notify me in some other way as well (PM or post here works just fine). Anybody who has ever seen Dreddit corpmail spam knows why people in Dreddit don't use in-game mail for anything.

About:

Mafia Redux started as a small gang corporation, and was founded by a tight group of players who have been playing EVE off and on since 2005. We've lived in Empire, and roamed the local 0.0 areas, lived successfully in C5 Wormhole space, terrorizing the sov holding alliances, carebears, and picking fights that generally weigh in the enemies favor.

Today we're a small-sized group of pilots, we have a strong presence in the USTZ. We specialize in small/medium gang PVP, in the 0.0 and lowsec environment. There is plenty of action and reliable fights to be had in our region of lowsec. When we're not picking fights with locals in lowsec, we roam nullsec in traditional nano-ships. Mafia Redux provides a good mix of reliable timer PvP for the medium/well organized fights, and a solid mix of roaming/skirmish PVP via nullsec.

I appreciate the ad, but... did you even read the op? I'm literally looking for more blobs to be a part of.

sabre I will take a look at your group, looks promising at first glance. Only issue is that it doesn't sound like you guys are part of any big wars right now, so probably not much in the way of bloc - level fights.

Please take no offence when I say this, but to get on the sort of level of fights you want as only a Jr FC in TEST, but still keep the FC role, is unlikely. The closest you will probably get to doing bloc fights regularly, and FCing, would be with a Provi alliance, and I'm pretty sure CVA won't give an FC position to a previous TEST FC straight off the bat. Things are starting to die down, for a while. Anyway, I am recruiting for an alliance, and we could do with a couple more FCs, and we live in Providence, and we fight PL often. The optional alliance fleets are about 20 people right now, though. We are growing, however, and we do take part in Provi fleets often, which get about 60-80 regularly, sometimes even more, and we're getting on cap killmails now, which is good. We are a growing alliance, so we could do with more FCs. One more thing: Activity is about to spike for us in regards to good fights, but please mail me more for that. Fly safe o7

I should have clarified in the OP that I am not expecting to be handed anything right off the bat; I'm just looking for a place with the possibility to advance.

We would be interested in seeing your potential. We live in NulSec, and we get in on a few good 80vs80ish fights w/ Provi every now and then, but as an alliance we still need to grow.
