These relic signatures that have been added to WH are really good, and they come with rocks to mine (good rocks...) that have to be scanned to get to.

It would be nice for us solo players if the rocks themselves could be detached from the site and not disappear from the system as soon as the site disappears.

They could still disappear with a much shorter time than regular mining sites, but making it a matter of hours rather than minutes as it would allow to benefit from them more... unless they are specifically designed to favor larger groups that can afford to keep a cloaky pilot just for keeping the site around...

only thing that needs to happen is ore sites need to become sigs and not anoms

What's stopping you from simply mining the site using jet-cans or anchored containers? Heck, or just a pilot with an Indy to ferry the ore away?

does an anchored can stop the site despawning?
failing that - proc/cov and jetcan

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

No, they don't, but they do mean you don't need to leave the site to jetison your ore load.

Personally, I'd rather see more varied behavior from npcs.

In most regions, the dominant npc ship should be whatever faction owns it. If you have high standing with the Sani Sabik, why shouldn't the blood raider ships just ignore you? What should worry you is if one of their rivals warps into the belt.

Likewise, why should sleepers care if you mine their rocks. They've been ignoring them for centuries. To rogue drones, you look like ore yourself, so it could be interesting if there was some way to fool them.

I think it would be great for immersion to warp to a belt in a system and see an npc mining crew there contendly ignoring everyone who doesn't throw a flag. If an Ishukone security squad decided to respond to someone with a suspect flag, I don't see how that could really be a problem in the grander scheme.

As a big fan of the Clone Wars series, I think a lot of missions would be more interesting if they simply hurled your ship into a big fight between two npc factions, maybe even two corps in the same faction. Maybe you'd have some objective in the fight, or some subset of targets, or maybe just get past all of them without drawing too much attention. This is the kind of AI scripting I want to see from CCP. I genuinely believe they can do if they want to.

Doing those kinds of things gives CCP a free hand to make NPCs quite a bit more potent, or to narrow the differences between player capabilities and npc capabilties.

Check out the fanfest presentation on Eve's AI and NPC behaviors. They go into Eve's AI and how it works and what their future plans are. They also comment during the Q&A that they're mostly adding new AI as an addition instead of revamping old AI since that would have too drastic of an effect on the game.

As for the lore, keep in mind that the Sleepers are malfunctioning AI, so their behaviors inherently don't necessarily make logical sense. Those sleepers might be hanging around that mining site guarding it expecting a mining ship to show up, but there hasn't been one for 20,000 years.

There are already pirate convoys and the like in belts carrying Ore, but nothing actively mining.

Invaders alert.. have to vacate the site until they are gone. Unfortunately all the time the rocks are gone too after they leave the area...

This I do not agree with.

I think it is fine regular ore sites in WH are anoms, and sigs are for gas...
Finding the occasional ore via relic sites is in fact a cool benefit, despite currently requiring a pilot to keep the site to de-spawn.

Containers and such do not keep it from de-spawning, and these sites are really quick to de-spawn when no pilots are around anymore.

I am not sure if this is the only thing, but I am quite sure this is one of the very much needed changes not only in Wormhole space, but every where in game.
